Some of the skirts from my sale that I’ve managed to complete and get sent out this week.

I still have a heap more to sew, however I’m taking the next 5 days to visit my folks in Tassie with my kiddo (while the hub stays here and works and looks after the cat!).

As soon as I return I’ll get back to sewing your beauties for you 😍

The sale is over, the album has been deleted. I appreciate the support and will be adding new fabrics to the available fabric album when I have them.

My sewing buddy had dental surgery a few days ago, and she’s finally joining me back in the sewing room (she was very mad at me!).

I’ve been a little quiet as it’s been quite busy with year 6 graduation, and now last day of primary school for the kiddo!

I’m wearing something almost 100% outside of my comfort zone today, because we all need challenges in our lives 😂 I just wish the split was on the other tigh to show off my awesome mermaid tattoo!

This time of year has got me barely holding onto my sanity!

- year 6 graduation for the kiddo
- birthday party for the kiddo
- Christmas and all the crazy that comes along with that
- kiddos actual birthday
- new years
- hubby working all the school holidays

It all gets a bit overwhelming. We just need to remember to take a breath, take a break. Things can wait. And the shiny happy images people are sharing, aren’t always the full truth!

Today was the annual Christmas outing for Hellpixie and Wicker Darling!

I made my dress and headband, Spunkerella petticoat, belt found at Savers, and Camper shoes. And very obviously Wicker Darling Odette handbag!

Repeat outfit in under 7 days! But this dress is SO cute, and I have the take the cat the the vet for her check up so I figured… perfect dress! Xmas AND cats!

Another 50s Vintage Dame fabric, another Xmas dress! This is ALMOST the last of my Xmas dresses, just one more new one for the annual Hellpixie X Wicker Darling Christmas outing (you’ll have to wait until Wednesday to see that one).

Honestly, when I saw this fabric online I wasn’t completely sold, but in person? Oh. My. Word. I LOVE it!

Another cute as heck Xmas dress using 50s Vintage Dame fabric! These gorgeous kitties will be a year round addition as they aren’t just “Christmas” to me.

Another day another dress, and I just love this shade of green! While it’s not traditionally a Christmas shade, I say it is today!

Gorgeous green teacup necklace was a gift for my birthday last year (thanks Terri!).

While this isn’t technically a Xmas dress, it was one I made back in 2017 for my birthday/christmas/summer period, and it’s lasted exceptionally well if I do say so myself!

The Xmas tree is up! Which means I can start wearing my Xmas themed clothes (I can whenever I want, but I like to at Xmas time! 😉).

I’m horrified, she’s highly amused 😂😂

Keeping it casual with some Totoro love and my favourite basic top. (Target for the top, obviously Hellpixie for the skirt!)

Someone asked me the other day how my ears were healing after having both my rook and my helix pierced within a week of each other, and honestly, pretty well! My helix is healed to the point of changing to shorter jewellery, but not fully healed (it’s gonna take MONTHS), and my rook is just angry! It’s been about 11 weeks and it’s not healing very well at all (no I don’t sleep on it, I have a donut pillow so my ear goes in the little hole and no pressure is put on it at all). I’m going to change out the jewellery in it soon, and see if that makes a difference - but I fear it will just aggravate it more. The rook may be retired before it fully heals, we’ll see!

*EDIT* as much as I appreciate all of the advice, I’m not looking for tips on healing at the moment. Please know that I have a fully healed rook on my other ear (20 years healed 😳) which gave me no issues, even when an inexperienced piercer decided to stretch my piercing after it was healed as he didn’t have the 16g barbell, but did have the 14g!

I do clean twice a day with saline, don’t sleep on it, all the good stuff.

My thoughts about taking it out are that 1) I have newer cartilage piercings that are healing better/easier. 2) I don’t have the patience for this one. And 3) if I take it out I can do a different piercing that will give me less grief for the healing process.

Jewellery is mostly all Etsy (lots of different sellers).

Outfit 2 from yesterday, for drinks in the garden with friends. Thankfully the rain held off, the sun shone, and I had margaritas in glasses that matched my dress!

Outfit 1 for my birthday! I’ll be changing into the fabulous dress from last week for some drinks this afternoon.
