Just as we wrap up a wonderful autumn season one of our lovely teachers snapped this adorable pic of our Wombat children having a blast on our new phone toys ! 🍃📸

They’re all giggles as they hear themselves talking—such a joyful way to learn and play! 📞✨

We will be participating in the Nillumbik Shire Kindergarten open day on Saturday the 17th from 10am until 1pm. Come by to see our gorgeous Kinder and meet some of our staff and COM members. We look forward to seeing you there! 😊

Applications to attend three- or four-year-old kinder in 2025 and four-year-old kinder in 2026 are now open. Families are encouraged to apply before 30 June to be included in the first round of offers, which will be sent in July.

Yarrambat Preschool is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team. We are looking for someone with experience and knowledge in the sessional/community kindergarten space and familiar with OWNA software.

At Yarrambat Preschool, we value versatility and teamwork. In addition to your primary role, there is also the opportunity for a dual contract. This means you'll have the chance to support our team in the classrooms when needed.

Yarrambat Preschool is a not-for-profit community-based preschool with a rich history dating back to 1976. We are managed by a dedicated committee of parent-based volunteers and supported by a team of qualified and passionate staff.

• Ability to fill the position of Nominated Supervisor or be nominated as a person in a leadership position responsible for day-to-day operations.
• Current Working with Children Check (or equivalent).
• Current or approved first aid qualification, approved anaphylaxis management qualification, and approved emergency asthma management qualification, in accordance with the Education and Care Services National Regulations and service policies.
• Strong capacity for independent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Current WWCC, First Aid, Asthma, Anaphylaxis (desirable)

Organisational Relationship:
• The Manager is accountable to, reports to, and takes direction from the committee of management (employer).
• The Manager will collaborate closely with the Educational Leader, accounts manager, and other key stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation of Yarrambat Preschool.

Are you passionate about creating a clean and safe environment for children? We're looking for a dedicated cleaner to join our kinder family!

Position: Kinder Cleaner

Location: Yarrambat Preschool

Hours: 2hr nightly clean M-F and School holiday super clean. (Flexible hours to fit your schedule)

Pay: to be negotiated.

Responsibilities:

· Daily cleaning and sanitization of classrooms and play areas (tables, chairs, door handles, walls etc.)
· Vacuum and mop floors.
· Clean Bathrooms and toilets
· Restocking essential supplies
· Managing waste disposal
· Ensuring safety and hygiene standards are met
· Collaborating with our team if needed

What we are looking for:

· Prior cleaning experience (preferably in an educational setting)
· Strong attention to detail
· Knowledge of safe cleaning practices
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Reliable and punctual

Ah we’ve blinked and just like that, another kinder year comes to an end! 💫 This year has flown by, and we are so grateful to have had an uninterrupted year of seeing everyone's faces each day at kinder.

FINAL REMINDER: AGM and Parent Information Evening to be held this Tuesday, November 15.

🌻We welcome all families to attend our Parent Information Evening on Tuesday 15th of November, with doors opening at 7pm and formalities beginning at 7:30pm.

📚The Information Evening provides you with your Enrolment Pack, which includes a copy of the kinder handbook, enrolment forms, and your child's settling-in timetable for the first few weeks of term 1.

🎨It is a great opportunity to meet your child’s teachers, explore the kindergarten space, meet other 2023 families, and learn more about our lovely community kinder.

💐The evening also includes our AGM, where a new committee for 2023 will be elected.

📧 Although RSVPs are preferred for catering purposes, walk-ins are welcome!

The Yarrambat Preschool Committee of Management invites applications for a Bookkeeper, to commence immediately. We are looking for a contractor to work remotely for approx. 2-3 hours per week.

Our ideal candidate:

✔️ Payroll Experience (ADP and VECTEA 2020 knowledge an advantage)
✔️ Experience in small business accounting (monthly reporting, budgeting, BAS).
✔️ Is proficient in Xero
✔️Previous experience within a Kindergarten/Early Childhood setting in a similar role
✔️ Has attention to detail
✔️ Flexibility across the working week
✔️ Is available to attend monthly Committee of Management meetings (traditionally held on a Tuesday evening)
