Our team in Melbourne keeps growing! We are thrilled to announce that ophthalmologist Dr Rogan Fraser recently completed his first private list and will be operating at Panch twice a month.

In addition to his private work, Dr Fraser works in the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital's Neuro-ophthalmology Unit and remains actively involved in teaching registrars. He is also a guest lecturer for Monash and Deakin University's medical degrees and an examiner for the Australian College of Optometry's Postgraduate Certificate of Ocular Therapeutics.

Vision Hospital Group CEO, Amanda Cranage, and CFO, Peter Sexton, recently attended the Australian Private Hospitals Association 41st National Congress on the Gold Coast, engaging in productive conversations with industry leaders and colleagues.
'The conference didn't shy away from the realities of the private hospital sector, addressing both challenges and opportunities,' says Ms Cranage.
'But most importantly, it reinforced a shared commitment to keeping patients at the heart of everything we do – a message that resonated with everyone in the room. At Vision Hospital Group, patients are prioritised throughout the healthcare decision-making and processes, and it was pleasing that this was a key focus of the conference.'
Ms Cranage and Mr Sexton also dropped into , where they caught up with Director of Nursing, Pip Tighe, and administrator, Amy Miller, between theatre sessions.

General Manager for Windsor Gardens, Gideon Sinclair, says the architect-designed, 3-theatre day surgery has gone from strength to strength since opening its doors as part of the 480 Specialist Centre development on North East Road.
'We get a lot of feedback from patients about how caring our team is, which is just wonderful to hear. The fact that the day surgery is in the same location as their surgeon's rooms also makes it really convenient and reduces the stress before their procedure, especially for the older patients,' he says.

'It feels like home,' says Dr Thomas Gin about his first session at that saw him reunite with some familiar faces, including Director of Nursing, Margarette Cortez. What a great way to start a surgical list!
And the happiness is mutual! As the latest member of the Boroondara VMO team, Dr Gin is highly experienced in as well as medical retinal conditions. He undertook his ophthalmic surgical training at the Royal Eye and Ear Hospital and later completed a subspecialty retinal fellowship.
Dr Gin has also published several research articles on age-related in international peer-reviewed journals and teaches trainee ophthalmologists as a consultant at the Royal Victorian Eye & Ear and Austin Hospitals.

In a first for South Australia, Windsor Gardens Day Surgery began a trial of the Veritas Vision System – the next-generation phacoemulsification system designed to improve cataract surgery for doctors and patients.
