A position has become available for a fabricator/exhaust fitted in an established and growing workshop. We are looking for an experienced individual to assist and grow with the business and one who appreciates the value in working in a smaller, fast paced environment. This role will suit an adaptable, independent worker who is a team player, motivated and reliable.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Ability to weld and fabricate in primarily mild and stainless steel applications, with MIG and TIG welding experience.
- Familiarity with emissions control devices on petrol and diesel vehicles (inc. catalytic convertors, DPFs, GPFs etc).
- Working with exhaust systems to suit standard replacement and high performance applications (for classic and late model cars).
- Removing old and damaged parts and preparing surrounding areas on vehicles.
- Inspecting and repairing muffler mountings.
- Selecting replacement parts according to the vehicle make, model and year.
- Choosing and modifying a suitable alternative if the selected replacement part is not available.

The business is split between general mechanical repairs and exhaust work. This allows scope to further develop exhaust fitting and fabrication skills if desired, as well as being part of a healthy working culture.

Successful applicants should possess the following:
- Full Trade Qualification in fabrication or engineering
- Varied & extensive experience working on numerous makes & models
- Proven experience working independently, without supervision
- A current Victorian manual driver’s license
- Australian Residency and full working rights

We are looking for an experienced mechanic to assist and grow with the business and one who appreciates the value in working in a smaller, fast paced environment.

This role will suit an adaptable, independent worker who is a team player, motivated, reliable and who is comfortable in interacting with customers on a professional basis. Applicants that meet the criteria noted below and with solid experience on a wide range of motor vehicles, should apply.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:
-Minor and Major Car Servicing
-General Automotive and Electrical Repairs
-Diagnosis & Problem Solving
-Brake Repairs and Refurbishments
-Exhaust Work
-Customer Interaction

The business is split into two operations between general mechanical repairs and exhaust work. Accordingly, there is scope to develop exhaust fitting and fabrication skills as well as being part of a healthy working culture.

Successful applicants should possess the following:
-Full Trade Qualification as a Motor Mechanic including a completed apprenticeship with at least 5 years’ post qualification experience working in the Automotive Motor Industry
-Varied & extensive diagnostic experience working on numerous makes & models
-Proven experience working independently, without supervision
-A current Victorian manual driver’s license
-Australian Residency and full working rights
