‘Build a bridge’: Was AFL legend Kevin Sheedy the ‘reason’ behind Oasis reunion?
Giants CEO Dave Matthews has told a wild story about when Kevin Sheedy met Noel Gallagher last year.
‘I don’t care about your music — I don’t even know it. I’m just saying life’s short mate, build a bridge with your brother, you’ve got to get back together. And do it out of the spotlight, just reconnect mate. I’ve dealt with my own family and I’ve dealt with a lot of families and I just think it’s a huge mistake you’re making’. Sheedy is reported to have said.

The AFL is expected to move the Western Bulldogs’ round two AFLW match to avoid a clash with the men’s elimination final against Hawthorn. The women’s game is likely to be held before the men’s final in a double-header at the MCG.
The Bulldogs had lobbied the AFL to change the time because they were disappointed the original AFLW start time of 5.05pm made it almost impossible for their fans to attend both games

Caller Hans told Jacqui Felgate while he finally was able secure tickets, the process was far from ideal. “I spent an hour and a half on the stupid app,” he said on 3AW Drive. “It kept kicking me out and timing out.”
For those fans who had a smooth process what tips do you have for other fans that will buy tickets for week 2 of the finals?

AFL goal umpire Steve Piperno has been hit hard by a full water bottle thrown by a spectator at the Carlton v St Kilda match at Marvel Stadium.
This is completely unacceptable behaviour and could have resulted in worse injuries than what has already ocurred. The goal umpire had to be subbed off the ground bleeding from the head/neck area and replaced so he could have first aid administered.
The AFL Fans Association will support the AFL in any investigation needed to identify the spectator and have an appropriate penalty imposed.
If you have any information on this incident or know the person involved message us on Facebook or email [email protected] to help.
