Over the term, our year 5 students have been working on becoming PLAY leaders. Every recess, a select group of students run different interactive games for our F-2 students based around collaboration and safety.
We hope everyone has been enjoying these activities!
On Friday, our students and their loved ones participated in a range of activities to celebrate fathers day this weekend! While the wind was trying to be the winner in our activities, the smiles on everyone's faces showed who the true winner were today.
We hope everyone had a blast - Happy Fathers Day
On Thursday, our year 5/6 students were invited to Cranbourne Secondary College to attend their school production of 'Rock of Ages'. We thank Cranbourne SC for the invite and the students absolutely loved it!

Meet Owlvin and Booksy - our new library mascots in our brand new Junior School library!
With Book Week well under way, we thought it was a perfect time to launch our new Library Spaces. Each of the junior school classes have had the opportunity to come and enter the library and learn about how it all works. The wonderful Mrs Oswald read the book "The Wildest Book Week Ever!" and the children loved it.
We hope the students enjoy having easy access to so many more stories!
On Wednesday August 14th, our students participated in their Student Led Conferences. These conferences give parents an opportunity to look at students work they have completed over the year. Students are able to reflect on where they have come so far and embrace why they are proud of their work. Thank you to all of the families that came along to participate.
Take a look at the incredible work our year 5/6 students have been completing over the last week. In geography, students are learning about the different features of Australia and completing a mapping activity. In literacy, students have been working towards developing a newspaper about different countries in the olympics. In mathematics, students are working on their multiplication and division skills.

In other rooms the students were working on their understanding of mapping and location in mathematics. One of the classrooms was lucky enough to be working on a mathematics project with Mr Roberts.

We can't wait to hear about Jessie's adventures with FB and 56A this week. It looks like she's been in good hands! Thanks to Lynbrook Vet for giving her a clean bill of health!
A Feel Good Story for your Wednesday 🥰
"Jessie" the "Border Collie" visited our clinic on Saturday. Jessie shares each week with a different student from his school, going on adventures and having fun. This week, his student wanted to make sure he was in tip top shape and brought him to see Nurse Kim for a physical health exam. Little Jessie's teeth were clean, his heart sounded good and his temperature was normal. We are pleased to say he was given a clean bill of health (and lots of treats!) 🐶
We see a future vet in the making here and just had to share this wonderful story with you! It certainly made our day ☀️
Just a reminder that our Student Led Conferences are coming up next Wednesday. Students have been busy preparing their work for the conferences and cannot wait to show their families!
Reminder that regular classes will not be running on this day. Book your session via compass now!
Meet the wonderful year 1/2 students! This week they have been working very hard on a range of activities. Students in classes were experimenting on eggs to see if they could break, practicing their number factors and creating factor houses, learning about different pronouns and how they are used in sentences AND learning how to use a dictionary. If their smiling faces don't say it all, being in year 1/2 at Rangebank Primary School is pretty great!

Take a look at the incredible work our students have been doing in PE and Hindi over the last term!
At Rangebank Primary School, we pride ourselves on being the first P-6 school in Victoria to teach Hindi as an additional language to students. Furthermore, our students thrive in Physical Education classes as they are given so many opportunities to try new and interesting sports allowing them to move their bodies!
While all of our students are on holidays currently, it is important to highlight key events that happen in the community. This week marks NAIDOC week and the theme this year is 'Keep the Fire Burning! Black, Loud and Proud'
National NAIDOC Week celebrations are held across Australia in the first week of July each year (Sunday to Sunday), to celebrate and recognise the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. NAIDOC Week is an opportunity for all Australians to learn about First Nations cultures and histories and participate in celebrations of the oldest, continuous living cultures on earth.
We hope that in your holidays, you take time to connect with resources and help educate our young people on the importance of NAIDOC week and elevating first nations voices in our community.
Congratulations to the following 2 classes for winning different awards at our final assembly last Friday! F1/A took out the attendance cup for the whole term and we could not be more proud of the students for trying so hard to come to school with such high frequency.

Jessie is our school pet who will hang out with different classes who win this award and create new adventures.
Hold tight until the end of Week 1 to see what Jessie got up to with 3/4D!
