During Holy Week, everyone is busy baking and preparing everything to celebrate on Easter Sunday. Koulourakia are made in the days leading up to midnight mass on Easter Saturday.

Pick up your own Koulourakia, as well as other Easter treats like Tsoureki and red-dyed eggs in store tomorrow!

Happy Palm Sunday!

For my family, Palm Sunday is the first day of the very important Easter Holy Week. The traditional meal on this day is Cod that is fried in batter and sserved with Skorthalia (garlic dip).

March 25 is the day of the Annunciation of the Theotokos.. or Greek Independence Day as it's also known.

On this day it is traditional to eat fish, so we're having beer battered Bakalao (cod) served with Skorthalia (a delicious Greek garlic dip).

There are so many variations of baklava depending on where it comes from and who it is made by. At Sweet Greek, we make ours traditionally using filo pastry and walnuts.
