As part of this years Melbourne Food & Wine Festival, and to coincide with our 6th (& Etta’s 7th) year on Lygon Street, we are thrilled to be teaming up with Seminyak establishment Potato Head, alongside our friends and neighbours .
On Sunday, 17 March, we’re transforming our stretch of Lygon St into a leafy, linen-adorned paradise with Potato Head’s Pam Yung, Etta’s Rosheen Kaul, and our very own Jack Short, who will be joining forces for an afternoon of snacks, cocktails and music by Potato Head resident DJ Dita.
Pam is a recent addition to the Potato Head team, having just signed on as Head of Culinary Innovation, but she is by no means a stranger to adventure, having cooked her way around the world, from Room 4 Dessert in Manhattan to El Celler de Can Roca in Spain and In de Wulf in Belgium.
New Yorkers know her as the co-founder of Brooklyn’s dearly missed Semilla restaurant, and recall her residency at Stone Barns with wonder, while Londoners think of her as the head chef of Flor, the Lyle’s spin-off at Borough Market, and its celebrated lockdown persona, ASAP Pizza, and as the person who last year launched the bakery section of Mountain, the hot new restaurant from Tomos Parry and the team from Brat.
Given this crew’s serious credentials, we knew pizzetta was a must for the menu, with skewers on the hibachi a go, too. Drinks-wise, think a Potato Head play on Etta’s Lime Leaf Margarita or a Brunswick approach to beachside favourites.
