Congratulations to Year 10 students, Nidhi B and Josephine B, who stepped into the MC role at the 2024 Learning Environment Australasia Awards at the Forum Theatre on behalf of the Centre for Higher Education School (CHES)! Despite having only attended CHES programs for a short time, both Nidhi and Josephine have shown tremendous commitment and dedication to their studies; they did a superb job compèring this major event, with almost 1000 architects, school leaders, and industry professionals in attendance. Fantastic work, team! 👏🌹🎉

The International Women's Day Breakfast has become one of Mac.Rob's most vibrant new traditions, and the 2024 event was no exception! Students, staff, and community partners connected over a delicious breakfast in the Mac.Rob Hall, while a panel of three wonderful alums - Queenie Chow (actuary; Vice President of the Palladians), Anne Kuleshova (investment banker), and Eva Zileli (accountant) - spoke passionately on the theme of this year's event: “Count Her In: Invest in Women. Accelerate Progress.” We hope to see you at this amazing experience when the IWD Breakfast returns in 2025!

Earlier this Term, we had the great pleasure of holding an official opening ceremony for our new school buildings! We welcomed back our local MP, Nina Taylor, alongside representatives from JCB architects, the Renascent construction team, our Regional SEIL, and Richard Chan, our school council president. Accompanied by Ms. Harrap and our School Captains, guests were guided on a tour of the new Lakeside classrooms, study spaces, and Library, before concluding in the refurbished theatre, where the new facilities were officially opened! 👏🌹🎉

Hello, 2024! Today was the first day of Term 1 for Mac.Rob, with all students in Years 9 to 12 joining staff for our traditional welcome to country assembly. Together, we paid our respects to the traditional owners of the land upon which we meet, learn, and teach - the Boonwurrung people of the Kulin nation - and to their Elders past, present, and emerging. Congratulations to the Year 12 students of 2023 who have successfully completed the innaugural International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP) at Mac.Rob! The IB is scored out of a total of 45, with a maximum of 7 for each subject, and 3 for the three Core elements. 100% of the cohort successfully completed all requirements to satisfy the Diploma, with our highest achieving IB student being Milly Shaw, with a score of 42. Our second highest achieving student Annabelle P**n, with a score of 41. A terrific result, and we are incredibly proud of all our IB students, their families, and the staff who have supported the introduction of this rigorous academic program at Mac.Rob!

Stellar VCE results for Mac.Rob’s biggest-ever cohort of students! These results are a celebration of an inclusive and connected group of young leaders and role models, who supported each other to focus on growth and development. We are incredibly proud of our VCE students, and eagerly await the International Baccalaureate Diploma results on January 4th, 2024.

Well done to the Class of 2023, and congratulations to our highest-achieving VCE student, Elsie Yip, who achieved an ATAR score of 99.90!

Last week saw the inaugural IB Art Exhibition at Mac.Rob, with students undertaking the International Baccalaureate Diploma presenting their projects for students, staff, and families!
