Our Story
APC is working toward the day where no man will die from prostate cancer.
1 in 6 Australian men are diagnosed with prostate cancer. Prostate Cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australian men. More than 3000 men die from prostate cancer every year.
The Australian Prostate Centre (APC) is Australia’s flagship for Research, Education and Clinical Delivery in Prostate Cancer. APC brings multiple disciplines in research, education, medical and health professions together for one reason - prostate cancer and the health of the men who suffer it. We want to give more men with prostate cancer longer, better quality lives - working progressively and unrelentingly toward the day when no man will die from prostate cancer.
The Australian Prostate Centre began as a not for profit organization in 2012 to give a dedicated focus toward research into extending the life expectancy of men with prostate cancer. Today, the APC is recognised as a unique and world-class centre of excellence for prostate cancer.
