Our last day was a bitter sweet moment. Plenty of happy tears from all runners, a shared experience in what was nothing short of spectacular. I didn't want it to end but knowing that it was our last day I tried to soak it all in. We ran from our camp to Karakorum, Mongolia's ancient capital.

The Mongolian people and culture, the team of staff looking after us, the diversity of runners from around the globe and background, the beauty of mother nature in a place that I have only dreamt about for so long have had a profound effect on me. I leave with a full heart ♥

Tsenkher hotsprings to Karakorum

I'll combine the last 2 days of pictures for your enjoyment 😜 It's been 2 huge days of running covering nearly 80km of more spectacular landscape. Passing through nomadic families starting their day milking yaks and herding horses. We are now heading into the mountains reaching 2000 m in altitude. Hard work for the lungs but the views make it worthwhile. Pleased to say the body and feet are holding up well 👌

Day 3 of 6 - 31km
Tsetserleg to the Hot Springs in Tsenkher

Wowzers, today's run left me speechless. The scenery was nothing short of spectacular and the pictures I share may not portray what it actually was like.

Running through nomadic pastures, climbing through pine forests and running along ridge lines. Seeing yaks, eagles, goats and more. Words can't describe how beautiful this place is. I lost all sense of time as every twist and turn revealed something new to see.

Finish line and our accommodation for the night was at the Tsenkher hot springs ♨️ 😍

Day 2 of 6 (Lake Ugii to Orkhon Valley)

I really enjoyed today's run. Distance covered was 33 km and very flat. The run took us through the steppes of the Okhon Valley. The sun was on our backs most of the way with a gentle headwind to cool us down. I particularly loved the water crossings and seeing miles and miles of vastness, grasslands, eagles, white swans and plenty of farm animals to cheer us on.

Day 1 of 6 done and dusted. Today's task was to run 20km through the Dunes of Elsen Tasarkhai (also known as mini Gobi).

It was hot hot hot 🔥!! 🥵🥵🥵
Temps reached 30 degrees today but felt much higher. Unfortunately, I made a few bad brekky choices, combined with the heat and hard effort required to run on sand, my tummy was NOT happy 😕. The job got done nonetheless. We ended the day enjoying the beautiful sunset over Ugii Lake.

After decades of dreaming about traveling to this far distant land, I finally made it! Still pinching myself.

I can't wait to show you all the amazing things I see through my phone pictures. Thank you for all your well wishes 😍. The 6 day stage race I'm doing won't start until Sunday. If phone reception allows I'll make sure to post up some updates 😊

Remember the two legends who set off to conquer the Gold Coast Marathon? We're thrilled to announce that both incredible ladies not only ran the full marathon but finished with flying colors!

Just five weeks before the marathon, Deb wasn't sure if she could run a few kilometers without pain. With dedicated treatment at the clinic and intense strength work at the gym, her pain significantly reduced. Deb initially aimed to run the half marathon, but in a remarkable twist, she completed the full distance! Was this a mind-over-matter triumph? We can't say for sure, but we're immensely proud of her perseverance and determination. Deb, you're a true legend! 💪

Lyn, on the other hand, faced her own challenges with pain and self-doubt about finishing the full marathon. Her unwavering commitment to her goal left us in awe. Lyn attended weekly treatments, maintained her training, and adapted her running regimen when necessary. Not only did she cross the finish line, but she also achieved a personal best by shaving off 5 minutes and qualified for the Boston Marathon—a dream many runners chase for years. Lyn, we're beyond proud of you! 👏

Shoes are very important when it comes to maintaining good feet health. Here are some things to look for when choosing comfortable shoes:

1. The fit of the shoe is not too snug and not too lose.
Did you know that around 63-72% of people wear the wrong size shoe. This can lead to pain, ingrown toenails, corns, bunions and lots of other problems.

2. The shoe should have good cushioning
The cushioning can alleviate pain in the sole of the foot and can help make daily tasks easy and comfortable to do.

3. The shoe should have breathable material
This can stop excess moisture in the shoes and create proper ventilation in the shoes.

4. It should be comfortable and appeal to your personal style and taste
There is often a misconception that comfortable shoes are ugly looking but NO, they can look good and be comfortable!!!

You can come in to the store to get fit for shoes and see the shoes available.

Worn out shoes can be toe-tally bad for maintaining good foot health.

Holes on the bottom of the shoes can not only lead to unwanted scratches and injuries, but it can also expose your feet to the different elements, such as very cold and wet weather.

It can be uncomfortable and can also decrease cushioning in those areas.
