It was a tough session on court for Falcons Setyana Mapasa and Angela Yu at the Olympics.
Our Women’s Doubles pair (Group C) went up against world no. 8 So Yeong Kim/Hee Yong Kong [KOR] in their second match of the Group Stage, but were unable to get the win at Porte de la Chapelle Arena earlier this evening.
The Koreans applied plenty of early pressure to win the first 21-12. Setyana and Angela then showed great form to fight back in the second, but their opponents were too strong.
Final Score: 21-12, 21-17
Setyana and Angela will now regroup and start preparing for their last match of the Group Stage against Ashwini Ponappa and Tanisha Crasto [IND] at 22.50pm (AEST) on Tuesday night.
Tiffany Ho (WS – Group K) will be on court bright and early tomorrow morning for her second match of the Group Stage when she takes on Linh Nguyen [VIE] at 5.10am (AEST).
