Wool Felting is an age-old craft with a rich history, dating back thousands of years. This traditional technique involves matting, condensing, and pressing sheep wool fibres together to create a dense fabric. It’s a craft that has been cherished across cultures, from ancient nomadic tribes to European settlers.

In the 1850s, when European miners settled in Ballarat during the gold rush, the settlers brought this technique with them, integrating it into their daily lives and passing it down through generations.

Today, we honour this beautiful tradition by creating our felt Christmas baubles and gingerbread men. Each piece is meticulously handmade by skilled artisans in Nepal, preserving the integrity and charm of this historical craft.
