If you were planning to come along to 17 William Street, South Yarra tomorrow morning to chat with the team about designs for two new parks - please stay at home.

The Victorian Government is asking for your opinion on the proposed statewide waste and recycling system. ♻

This system will apply to all councils and will include four different bins: food and garden waste, mixed recycling, glass and general rubbish.

If you’d like to share your thoughts on the new system and the timing of its implementation, make your submission to the State Government by 14 August.

Find out more via the post below 👇

Have your say on Victoria’s new waste and recycling system, which now has four streams: one for glass, one for food and garden waste, one for mixed recyclables, and one for general rubbish. 🍾🥑📦🗑

Making household recycling consistent across the state makes recycling easier and helps reduce contamination. It increases the volume and quality of materials we can recover for recycling and reuse 🙌

Your feedback will help shape how councils manage household waste and recycling services across the state. Share your thoughts here 👉 www.engage.vic.gov.au/setting-the-standard-for-better-recycling-at-home
