Big Changes in Protecting Indigenous Knowledge! 🌍
The way the world recognises and protects Indigenous Knowledge is evolving, thanks to a new international treaty. This treaty is the first of its kind to acknowledge the value of Indigenous people's traditional knowledge within the global intellectual property (IP) system.
In Australia, this has led to the creation of a special Indigenous Knowledge Panel. This panel, made up of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander experts, will help ensure that Indigenous Knowledge is respected and correctly used in trademarks and other IP applications.
Why does this matter? Indigenous Knowledge includes everything from cultural practices and techniques to traditional names and symbols. By protecting this knowledge, we help preserve the cultural heritage of First Nations people and prevent its misuse.
Imagine having the power to instantly dissolve every internal blockage, like a superhero defeating enemies with ease. Think about how amazing and empowering that would feel? While it might not be exactly like a superhero's power, it's a real strength within us all, as explained by Shae Matthews in our conversation about his inner game techniques.🥋 Meet the Master:
Shae Matthews, aka the "Shae Man," is dedicated to helping individuals unlock their full potential by overcoming their inner obstacles. With a background rich in transformational practices, Shae's approach is rooted in the "inner game," focusing on how our internal reality shapes our external experiences.
Tune in to learn from Shae's unique perspective on personal transformation and inner game mastery. This episode is packed with insights that will inspire you to rethink your approach to challenges, negotiations, and life itself.

Ever wondered how some people seem to speak so effortlessly in public?
Do you find yourself wishing, "I wish I could present like that"?
If you're looking to overcome your fear of public speaking and want to express yourself with confidence, this episode is for you. Join us on "Rolling Through Negotiations" podcast as we chat with Aysha Iqbal, a black belt in communication who has mastered the art of public speaking across her career with BBC, ITV, and TEDx.
Aysha will share straightforward, effective strategies that can help you speak up clearly and confidently, whether in meetings, at public events, or in personal conversations.
Private companies come in all shapes and sizes. We're talking about co investing, sharing control, and chasing those big dreams.
But let's be real, it's not always sunshine and rainbows.
You see, with fewer shareholders, disputes can sometimes feel like they're hitting a little too close to home. And don't even get me started on figuring out the true value of those shares, there's no one set valuation method. It's often a combination of methods, and negotiations.
But hey, here's the good news: you're not alone in this.
The law's got your back. There are some solid tools out there to help you ensure everything's above board and make sure your voice is heard loud and clear.
So, where do you start? Well, it all begins with knowing your rights.
Corporations Act 2001, your company's constitution, and any shareholders' agreements… these documents are your best friends when the going gets tough.
But wait, there's more! Don't forget to pay attention to the fine print. Shareholders' agreements, company mergers, trust deeds, they all hold valuable insights into what you can (and can't) do in those sticky situations.
And when it comes to legal options, you've got a few cards up your sleeve. From statutory derivative actions to oppression remedies and breach of the constitution each one offers a unique way to hold parties accountable and seek resolution.
But hey, if legal options isn’t for you, it might be time to think about exiting. Selling your shares or winding up the company are tough decisions, but sometimes they're necessary to move forward.
Remember, you're not just a shareholder, you're a key player in this game, and your voice matters.

From winning multiple World Championships and ADCC absolute division to submitting the great Marcelo Garcia in just over two minutes, Robert’s achievements are nothing short of extraordinary.
In this chat, Robert shares insights from his journey, delving into the pressures and triumphs of competition, the nuances of coaching UFC champions, and his philosophical take on the evolution of Brazilian jiu jitsu.
We’ll also get a peek into his books, "Opening Closed Guard" and "The Rise and Evolution of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu," where he explores the transformation of this martial art from a niche fighting style to a global phenomenon.
So, tighten your belts and get ready to roll through the fascinating world of jiu jitsu with Robert Drysdale, a true scholar warrior who lives and breathes the art. It's an episode packed with wisdom, history, and a bit of grappling philosophy!
In this masterclass episode, Lincoln Hancock, a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu master, reveals how the disciplines of the sport extend far beyond the mat, offering a blueprint for conquering life's challenges. Through his teaching, Lincoln demonstrates that Jiu Jitsu techniques are more than combat techniques they are lessons in discipline, strategy, and resilience that can be applied to all aspects of life. Central to Lincoln's philosophy is the empowering mantra, "Why not me?" a call to action that challenges us to confront opportunities without fear or doubt. This episode delves into how adopting a "Why not me?" attitude can transform obstacles into stepping stones, guiding you to embrace change, take action, and pursue greatness in sports, business, and personal growth. Prepare to be inspired to achieve your goals with the mindset of a champion.

Concerned your words might be taken as defamation?
Here's what you need to know…
🤔 In the world of defamation law, it's not enough for someone to just say something negative about you.
The key lies in proving 'serious harm' to your reputation.
Take the Jones v Jackson case, for example. Despite the hurtful remarks in a Facebook post, the court found no 'serious harm' to Jones’ reputation, so the defamation claim didn't move forward.
It shows that the impact on your life and how others view you really matters in these cases.
What do you think about this requirement in Australian defamation law? Do you agree with how it was applied in Jones v Jackson? Share your thoughts in the comments! 👇
