How REMEDIAL MASSAGE Eases NECK PAIN from Computer Work so you don’t let your desk job become a pain in the neck! Literally. Combat the slouch with simple posture tips: Sit up straight, adjust your chair height, and keep your screen at eye level. Your body will thank you for the TLC. In today's digital age, many of us spend long hours hunched over computers, leading to a common complaint: NECK PAIN. This discomfort can range from mild stiffness to debilitating tension, impacting both productivity and overall well-being. While ergonomic adjustments and breaks are essential, another effective solution often overlooked is REMEDIAL MASSAGE, this therapy can provide much-needed relief for neck pain. Sitting in front of a computer for extended periods often results in poor posture, particularly in the neck and shoulders. The muscles in these areas become tense and overworked, leading to stiffness, pain, and even headaches. Additionally, prolonged screen time can contribute to eye strain and fatigue, exacerbating neck discomfort. Incorporating regular remedial massage sessions into your routine can effectively manage and prevent neck pain, fostering greater comfort and well-being in your daily work life by providing the following >>>>
•Muscle Relaxation: Releases tension in the neck, shoulders, and upper back •Improved Circulation: Enhances blood flow, aiding in muscle repair and reducing inflammation •Trigger Point Release: Targets specific areas of tightness for relief •Postural Correction: Helps realign the spine, reducing strain on the neck and shoulders.

In today’s fast-paced world, where the demands of daily life can sometimes feel overwhelming, maintaining optimal brain health is paramount. While we often focus on physical fitness for its strength and cardiovascular benefits, the cognitive advantages of exercise are equally noteworthy and deserving of attention. From enhancing memory and concentration to reducing stress and depression, the impact of regular physical activity on brain function is profound.

The cardiovascular system plays a pivotal role in supporting brain health. Regular exercise improves blood flow to the brain, delivering oxygen and nutrients essential for optimal neuronal function. Further, physical activity reduces the risk factors associated with cardiovascular disease, such as hypertension and atherosclerosis, which can compromise cerebral circulation and increase the likelihood of stroke and cognitive impairment. By promoting cardiovascular fitness, exercise safeguards both heart and brain health, reinforcing the symbiotic relationship between physical activity and cognitive well-being.

Exercise is crucial for older adults, but it can be hard to know where to begin. If you haven’t worked out for a while, re-entry into the active world can be daunting. Here are our top three exercises to get you started!

Walking: Walking is a low-impact activity that improves cardiovascular health, strengthens muscles, and boosts mood. Aim for at least 30 minutes of brisk walking most days of the week.

Chair Exercises: Seated exercises are ideal for seniors with mobility issues. Examples include seated leg lifts, arm circles, and seated marches, which help improve strength and flexibility.

Balance Exercises: Balance exercises, like standing on one leg or heel-to-toe walking, can help prevent falls by improving stability and coordination.

Our Story

30 years ago I had a vision. To build a multi-modality wellness centre built on excellence, integrity, consistency, fun, education and relationship. I had just graduated as a Naturopath and Massage Therapist and knew little of what was to unfold.

10 years later, I graduated as a Chiropractor and began working in Cranbourne. I built a large, multi-modality practice, across 11 rooms with around 15 in the team...but something was missing. We lacked those core ingredients which formed my vision 10 years earlier, in particular ‘relationship’.

My wife Linda and I believed, and still do, that relationship is key to healing. Our clients, our practitioners, our staff, our virtual support team and our community need to feel a sense of belonging, of connection. From this we build trust and from this we move to healing.

So we started over and built a brand new model almost 8 years ago. Cranbourne Family Chiropractic. We moved from 15 people in our team to just my wife and I but the biggest difference was, we now had relationship.
