Grab your picnic rug, bring the whole family and join First Peoples' Assembly of Victoria for a spooky movie under the stars this Halloween!

Come along and watch Hocus Pocus at the outdoor cinema on Saturday 2 November at the Sir Douglas Nicholls Oval in Thornbury. All are welcome.

Tickets are $5, and entry gets you a free regular sized popcorn.

BYO picnic rug. Food trucks will be serving a selection of delicious meals that you can purchase and grab a spot on the oval.

Gates open at 5.30pm. Movie starts at 8pm.

The Get Active Kids Voucher Program is open! Get in quick as applications for a voucher will remain open until the allocation is exhausted.

Victorian families with a Health Care Card or Pensioner Concession Card can apply for up to $200 to support their child’s sport and active recreation activities.

When someone famous passes away, it can hit differently for everyone. And that's okay.

Whether you're feeling sad, confused, or even unaffected, your reaction is valid. If you're struggling with emotions or noticing that others around you are, here’s some things that can help:

💔 Feeling down about a celeb's death?
It's not weird to feel real grief. Give yourself permission to feel it—take a breather if you need to.

🤝 Check in with your friends.
Chances are, your mates might be feeling it too. Ask how they're doing and talk it out together.

📵 Log off for a while.
Constant news updates and social media posts can be a lot. Sometimes, it helps to take a break.

📝 Write it out.
Getting your thoughts on paper can help sort through what you’re feeling and make things a bit clearer.

If your sadness is sticking around, or you feel like it’s affecting your everyday life, don’t hesitate to reach out for help. A GP or a professional can make it easier to work through those feelings.

🤖 School Holiday movie - The Wild Robot 🤖

We have hired the whole cinema just for us!

This newly released DreamWorks animation movie is an adaptation of the bestseller novel, “The Wild Robot”. This story follows about a robot named Roz, who must learn to adapt to its new surroundings after being shipwrecked, gradually building relationships with the animals on the island.

🛹 Banyule YouthFest 2024 will have a pop up skate park facilitated by the team from ! 🛹

This pop up is all about bringing the sport to young people in a safe and inclusive environment with funding from the North East Community Fund. All equipment is provided and the aim of the day is to have fun! We will learn basic skills and tricks which will help give participants a good feel for the sport and the tools to be able to safely ride skateboards in their own time post session.
