This International Women’s Day we are acknowledging and celebrating a women whose work still influences Osteopathic treatments today.

Dr. Viola Frymann (16/1/1921 - 22/2/2016)

Dr Frymann left behind a legacy of contribution to Osteopathy. She was a highly respected osteopathic physician known for her work in paediatric osteopathy and cranial osteopathy. She dedicated her career to advancing osteopathic principles and techniques, particularly in the treatment of children. While there are many talented and accomplished female osteopaths around the world, Dr. Viola Frymann stands out as a pioneering figure in the field.

International Women's Day is a Global Day of Recognition and celebration of women’s social, political, cultural, and economic achievements.

It is celebrated annually on 8 March across the world by governments, civil society organisations and increasingly, the private sector. In May 2013, Council decided to institute the annual Molly Hadfield Social Justice Oration (MHSJO) as part of Council’s International Women’s Day celebrations.

Mary Crooks AO will MC (Master of Ceremonies) and lead a Q&A with guests Leanne Miller AM and Professor Julie Williams OAM who will orate the MHSJO.
