Developed and offered in partnership with WISE Employment, this ground breaking initiative will provide a student with Autism Spectrum Disorder tailored support to help them graduate with a Deakin bachelors degree in law or business.

“This scholarship will help students with autism to attain a Deakin degree and have the opportunity to contribute to their chosen profession as a qualified practitioner,” said Professor Jenni Lightowlers, Executive Dean of the Faculty of Business and Law.

“Encouraging the widest possible participation in our law and business degrees, and by extension the professions, is integral to our Deakin values. We embrace difference and respect and welcome all. That is why we are thrilled to work with WISE Employment to offer this exciting scholarship.”

Billions of dollars awarded through Commonwealth Government grants were non-competitive, a new study from the IPA-Deakin SME Research Centre found.
