The Department of Home Affairs has updated their latest estimated processing times.

➡️ Indicated processing times are approximates. The list indicates the time taken to process 50%and 90% of a given visa type.

➡️ You can check the progress of your application against standard processing times by visiting the link below: https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/getting-a-visa/visa-processing-times/global-processing-times

Here are the 50 - 90% timeframes for a few key subclasses:

➡️ 186 ENS Direct Entry: 5 months to 13 months
➡️ 189 Skilled Independent: 4 months to 17 months
➡️ 190 Skilled Nominated: 12 months to 18 months
➡️ 485 Graduate Work: 6 months to 8 months
➡️ 485 Post-Study Work: 3 months to 5 months
➡️ 491 State/Territory Nominated: 14 months to 29 months
➡️ 491 Family Sponsored: 10 months to 21 months
➡️ 500 Student - Higher Education Sector: 47 days to 4 months

✅ From July 1, the following visa holders will have more time to find a new sponsor if they cease working with their current employer:

➡️ Temporary Work (Skilled): 457
➡️ Temporary Skill Shortage: 482
➡️ Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional (provisional): 494

These visa holders will have up to:

➡️ 180 days at a time, or
➡️ a maximum of 365 days in total across the entire visa grant period

➡️ During this time, visa holders can also work for other employers in occupations not listed in their sponsorship nomination to support themselves.

✅New nomination applications must meet the new TSMIT or the annual market salary rate, whichever is higher.

Student:
➡️ Minimum IELTS score increases from 5.5 to 6 (or equivalent)
➡️ Minimum for students in foundation/pathway programs with English language training will be 5.5
➡️ Minimum score to take a packaged ELICOS increases from 4.5 to 5

Temporary Graduate
➡️ Minimum IELTS score increases from 6.0 to 6.5 (or equivalent)
➡️ Minimum score of 5.5 in each component
➡️ Test validity decreases from 3 years to 1 year
