A bit of Melbourne sun saw the guys reaching for sun screen with the "4 season s in one day" threatening to dump rain 3 minutes later.

Geelong to Queenscliff is the most challenging part of the ride. The road is narrow and undulating. The vehicles sharing the same width of road are fast and close.

Maurice Beinat and David Curwood managed to make the 11am ferry with just a few minutes spare. I got the car on the same ferry which is good as the next ferry is an hour away.

Progress has diminished somewhat with the arrival of cramps.

Change of strategy to '"chill ride" the 135km up the eastern side of the bay... hopefully with the change of wind direction.

Wow! This team is on fire. I hadn't even got the next stop setup in Geelong, and they arrived!! Breaking records here.



Next stop Queenscliff where you get to make or break your ride. How long to the ferry?? And how many riders in front of you??

Every 3 days, an Australian is diagnosed with Bone Marrow Failure Syndrome. Distressingly, most of them are children and young adults, and 50% will not survive.
