Alexandra Park – Electronic Scoreboard Upgrade
As the new pavilion at Alexandra Park, Mornington nears completion there are other aspects of the ground that are also being upgraded.
Through a partnership with Community Bank Mount Martha, Mornington Football Netball Club, Mornington Cricket Club and Peninsula Raiders Super Rules, $36,000 in sponsorship over three years has been funded through Community Bank Mount Martha to upgrade the existing electronic scoreboard at Alexandra Park.
This funding and upgrade will assist all three Club that utilise Alexandra Park and the electronic scoreboard.
On top of this the three clubs shared grants in the 2024 Mount Martha Stronger Community Grants Round 2, totaling $20,196 for various capital works projects.
That’s not all; Community Bank Mount Martha has also provided each Club with a jointly branded 3m x3m marquee.
Rob Smith, President said “The Mornington Football Netball Club are so thankful for the ongoing support and sponsorship from Community Bank Mount Martha.
With their sponsorship of all 3 clubs, they have been able to get a new electronic scoreboard, and this financially, has made a tremendous impact for all of the user groups of the Alexandra Park Precinct.
Luke Woods, Treasurer said “Peninsula Raiders are grateful to our local Community Bank Mount Martha for their invaluable support, enabling lower fees and ensuring accessibility, fostering positive mental health impacts within our community through over 35 men’s and women’s football.”
Andrew Nicholls, President said “Mornington Cricket Club greatly appreciates Community Bank Mount Martha’s ongoing support for our Club and the Alexandra Park Precinct, as well as the commitment to promoting diversity and engagement across our local community”.
A huge thank you and congratulations to all in our community that currently bank at Community Bank Mount Martha, it is your support that makes these types of initiatives possible.
Hi Doggies
We are looking for volunteers for the final two Mornington Racecourse Markets for Sunday 12th May & 9th June. Volunteers are required from 8.30am to approximately midday. Duties are very straightforward with market staff there the whole time to direct duties. Last month, we raised $1000 for the club with this simple task.
We are looking for 10 volunteers for each duty and I'm hoping to spread the load.
If you can help please msg me on 0452 126 185.
Thanks
Andy
A HUGE thankyou to Community Bank Mount Martha in their efforts to help all sporting groups at Alexandra Park in the realisation of our new scoreboard. Please consider our new Major Partner for all your banking needs whether new or existing.

This week members of the Mornington Cricket Club attended a sponsorship function hosted by our new partner Community Bank Mount Martha. We were presented with a sporting equipment and computer grant. We are very grateful to Community Bank Mt Martha for this support to our club. Recently we have also signed an agreement for the replacement of our main ground scoreboard in partnership with other ground users though sponsorship funding.
We would like to thank Community Bank Mt Martha for their investment in our community and ask that you consider them for your banking needs.
Mornington Cricket Club is thrilled to announce the appointment of Brendan Walsh as our new Senior Playing/Coach for the next three seasons.
Brendan brings over 200 Premier 1st XI games of experience with Ringwood Cricket Club to the Kennel.
After the last 2 seasons, playing with his brother Nathan at his junior club Lysterfield, Brendan joins Mornington CC at an exciting time for the club, moving back into our fantastic new clubroom facility at Alexandra Park.
‘He’s a ripper bloke, a real cricket person and our young playing group will love both playing and learning from someone with his skills, passion for the game and knowledge’, said outgoing Senior Coach Rob Parker.
Brendan moved to Mornington a few years ago so he will be coaching at his 'local' club. We welcome Brendan and his wife Chantelle to the Bulldog Family.
