What a beautiful day.
Canāt get the cookies on the first day of the NSW Disc Golf Open, but they can definitelyļæ¼ crumble.
Videos and results of the coming days to be posted. ļæ¼
Messing about with some of the logos of teams I follow. Thinking about making some jerseys that I can wear to some events. Iām starting to like this idea more and more.
ļæ¼Whatās everyoneās thoughts?
When I s the bed in a tournament that I was leading overnight, I like to eat Marshall and Daughters cookies to make me feel betterā¦

Pretty stoked to have been going, and letās be honest, gone pretty well over the weekend for my first MA3 tournament. But a +13 on the final day wasnāt winning anything.
Loved this tournament for the progression Iāve made, mates Iāve found, and areas Iāve explored, that without disc golf, I would never have seen.
Looking forward to the next tournament at Rathmines for the Triligy Challenge. And to see the next ratings on the PDGA website.
Also, HOLE IN ONE!!!!!!!!!! š
ļæ¼You definitely canāt win on the first day of a tournament.
Itās just about putting yourself into a position where you can give it a redhot crack on the final day.
And that absolutely happened today. Pretty stoked with my efforts and starting off with a hole in one on the first doesnāt hurt either.
Decided to play up a division in the MA3 competition, and it all just seems to be coming up Milhouse.
Hopefully I can give tomorrow a redhot crack as well. And give myself the best opportunity of winning. Played with some absolutely awesome guys today as well. And enjoyed every second.
LETS GOOOOOOOO!!!
I enjoy my hole in ones with a Marshall and Daughters cookie!
First ever hole in oneā¦ Ever! Never got one practising, and the first one I get is the first hole ever tournament.
Far outā¦
8:15 tee time.
ļæ¼Canāt win it the first round, but can definitely lose it.
ļæ¼Letās get the cookie. ļ漚Ŗ
Hircock Disc Golf would like to welcome Marshall and Daughters, New York style cookie dealers to the team!
Iāll be styling the fashions of the Cookie Kingpins of Newcastle, while trying to get the cookies in the upcoming events in the Australian Disc Golf calendar.
Thanks very much Nath Marshall ļæ¼for working with us here at Hircock Disc Golf. In order to help Jay realise his aspirations of becoming the average Disc Golfer that he knows he can be.

Happy ratings update day everyone!
Andā¦ oh dear. ļæ¼-4 on my rating this month.
Got a few more rounds that Iāll be able to potentially increase my rating before the season ends this year.
On to bigger and better things, hopefully.
This was definitely amazing!
My first tournament - The Molong Cup
Genuinely, one of the best experiences. Camped with Kaija, played on a golf course course for the first time, enjoyed the competition of it, and fu***ng wanted more.
11+ in the first round and 8+ for the second round. And realising that each round was ranked, giving you a ranking that gave me an Australian and World ranking against the best. And earning point on the Aussie tour. Even though I was playing in the lowest grade. Still learning the ropes and loving every second.
Hooked.
I wanted to do better (winā¦) and didnātā¦ but it was amazing. And here goes the rest of the tournaments.
Thanks ESPN š¤£
March 18, 2023 ā my best round at Jesmond. ļæ¼
On a modified Jesmond Park course, Iāve had my best round to date. Absolutely smashing apart the course that has essentially been my home for Disc Golf from the start. ļæ¼
The shame of it was that it wasnāt the original course with works on the Newcastle bypass well and truly in swing.
ļæ¼But it was absolutely awesome to do well on a course that I knew would eventually hold tournaments that I knew I would enter. And one of which I would enter only a couple of months from this date.
Put after this round, I mustāve been feeling pretty good about Disc Golf in general. And decided that I was going to have a crack at a tournament as soon as possible.
Thanks ESPN. š¤£
February 24, 2023 ā 1st time shooting under par. ļæ¼ By this time, works on the Newcastle bypass it started at Jesmond Park and had gotten rid of quite a bit of the beautiful trees and park around the course.
And one (eventually two) of the courses baskets. ļæ¼
During this round, I decided to play one of the holes twice. In order to still have nine holes for the course. Ended up being absolutely incredible day.
Once again, this is probably not going to mean all that much to ļæ¼ļæ¼all that many people.
- A practice round
- A course under construction
- A small amateur Park course
- And no one seeing me do it.
But this was genuinely awesome! And something I genuinely didnāt know whether I could do after going even par so many times before this.
It was also the scariest last six holes everā¦ ļæ¼
Thanks ESPN.
26th of January 2023 ā Australia Day doubles at Jesmond Park. In my first taste of ātournamentā Disc Golf.
Anyone that knows me knows Iāmā¦ A little bit competitive. But Iāve also realise that of the couple of rounds that I had thrown at Jesmond Park that were even par. None of them were with anyone. And the playtime in groups that you play with affect your game severely. Itās a completely different game. And a lot more interesting.
Although I shot +5, I got to see my first professional player in a round. JJ ļæ¼showed me a few little tips. And help me to understand how tournament play actually worked.
Double hooked. Almost like pocket jacks.
Thanks ESPN. And thanks, JJ.
December 24, 2022 ā Christmas Eve and I didnāt have much else better to do. So I went out and had a friendly game (or 3) of Disc Golf over nine holes at Jesmond Park.
It was also the first time that I had ever shot even for a round.
Everything just seemed to click that day. I absolutelyļæ¼ frothed on my 60m to 70m drives, and ļæ¼my 8m birdie putts. Fu***ng McBļæ¼east! šš¤£
ļæ¼What Iāve come to realise, is that Jesmond isnāt actually all that big a course. ļæ¼But nonetheless, ļæ¼I was fu***ng pretty excited.
Hooked. ļæ¼
Thanks ESPN. ļæ¼
Bit of a game at Jesmond Park this afternoon.
So I think over the next couple of days, Iām going to put all of my results from each of the more memorable rounds and tournaments that Iāve been in over the year.
Starting on the first game that I had ever played by myself. And the second round I had ever played. The first being a doubles round the day before.
Using a Fourth Circle ā Firehawk fairway driver, Innova ā CRO midrange, and a Fourth Circle - Huntsman. I scored a 16 over on the gold and red course at Jesmond Park on December 16, 2022.
Starting this whole pro-blemā¦ and giving me the opportunity to play sport, with the injuries that I currently have, and on a time frame I could choose outside of my work schedule. Starting this mini obsession with this absolutely stupid, funļæ¼, and amazing game in which this incredible community ļæ¼ has accepted a slightly weird and little bit obsessive dude. ļæ¼
ļæ¼And this all came from seeing Disc Golf on the Ocho, and seeing if there was a local Disc Golf club / course.
Thanks ESPN.ļæ¼
Gāday fellow Disc Golfers and friends alike.
Essentially, I was thinking about all of the Disc Golf spam that I put onto my personal page and decided it might be a good idea to put it all into one area. So if youāve made it this far, thank you very much for liking my page.
ļæ¼Looking forward to chatting to you guys about all things Disc Golf, as you follow me on my journey ļæ¼ towards Disc Golf mediocrity. š¤£ļæ¼
