【關注立場新聞煽動判罪 呼籲國際捍衛言論自由】English version scroll down

我哋對香港「《立場新聞》案」昨日（29號）煽動罪成嘅判決深表遺憾。裁決不單公然侵犯香港人言論自由、新聞自由，亦企圖令新聞工作者恐懼，令各地香港人心寒。我哋呼籲國際社會、澳洲政府共同關注，採取行動捍衞人權。

我哋尤其關注，羅織鍾沛權先生同林紹桐先生煽動罪名嘅所謂「罪證」中，包含現時流亡澳洲嘅許智峯先生、及羅冠聰先生、梁頌恆先生等海外港人嘅訪談。港府將海外民主運動人士嘅報道列為煽動罪行，係對各地港人嘅跨境恐嚇，對香港內外嘅通訊禁制，對新聞自由嘅污蔑打壓，剝奪海外港人社群對家園狀況嘅知情權同發言權。

我哋決不噤聲——沉默只會令獨裁者更張狂。在此呼籲各界持續監察香港人權狀況，為被禁聲者振臂呼聲。

Concern Over the Conviction of Stand News for Incitement
Call for International Defense of Freedom of Speech

We express our deep regret over the conviction for incitement in the "Stand News Case" in Hong Kong on the 29th. This verdict not only blatantly violates the freedom of speech and press freedom of Hong Kong citizens but also aims to instill fear among journalists and dishearten Hongkongers worldwide. We urge the international community and the Australian government to pay close attention and take action to defend human rights.

We are particularly concerned that the so-called "evidence" of incitement against Mr. Chung Pui-kuen and Mr. Patrick Lam includes interviews with Hongkongers in exile in Australia, such as Mr. Ted Hui, Mr. Nathan Law, and Mr. Baggio Leung. The Hong Kong government's classification of reports on overseas pro-democracy activists as incitement is a form of cross-border intimidation against Hongkongers globally, a restriction on communication both within and outside Hong Kong, and a disgraceful attack on press freedom. It deprives the overseas Hong Kong community of their right to be informed and to speak out about the situation at home.

We will not be silenced—silence only emboldens dictators. We call on all sectors to continue monitoring the human rights situation in Hong Kong and to raise their voices for those who have been silenced.

反送中5周年 電影放映會《幸彤在監獄》

距離2019年已經過了5年，大家還好嗎？
雖然人在澳洲，可以享受著自由的氣息，但每年的６月總是不其然地回憶著５年前一個又一個的畫面，實在令人悲憤。

今年3月，基本法２３條终於正式立法，意味著自由再一度被收緊。不出３個月，首批被２３條下的被捕人出現了，就是已經身在牢獄中的鄒幸彤及其家人、朋友。國家安全處指控其在社交平台專頁利用「某個將至的敏感日子」發佈具煽動意圖的帖文，涉嫌違反《維護國家安全條例》下的「煽動意圖的相關罪行」。

連6。4兩個數目字都被主政官員避而不談，可見政權正在進行記憶清洗。昔日每年由支聯會舉辦的六四維園集會，如今卻成為由某某同鄉會的家鄉市集嘉年華，被粉飾太平。

「人與極權的抗爭，就是記憶與遺忘的抗爭。」出自於捷克裔法國籍作家米蘭·昆德拉的作品《笑忘書》。極權千方百計要我哋忘記，我哋更需要保存記憶、守護真相。誠邀大家6月22晚同我哋一齊參與紀錄片放映會《幸彤在監獄》，認識仍在牢獄中受苦嘅鄒幸彤更多，記錄及見證佢嘅生命。

昨天早上在ABC News上，評論23條惡法：

“Former Hong Kong legislator Ted Hui, who now lives in Adelaide and is also among those subject to a bounty, called this the "final nail in the coffin" for the city.

"This new law is legislated by the Hong Kong Parliament itself, unlike the national security law forced into Hong Kong four years ago," he told the ABC.

"But this time, this law is five times more draconian than the one before … I personally expect more people going to jail just for fighting for freedom of democracy and criticising the governments.

"So this is something tragic to Hong Kong."

He fears this will make it easier for everyday Hong Kongers to get caught by the broad national security apparatus.

"It's very easy to be caught by this new legislation, just for criticising the government. For example, over the internet, where criticisms are not tolerated and it's easily caught by sedition and incitements to hatred," Mr Hui said.

"Traditionally, it was a minor offence, for two years imprisonment. Now they can put you in prison for a decade."

In 1963, Martin Luther King advocated for the human rights of Black people. Following this, he received the Nobel Peace Prize, and the American government showed respect for his efforts.

In 1962, the 10th Panchen Lama presented a petition to the Chinese vice president, advocating for Tibetan human rights. Unfortunately, the Chinese government failed to comprehend his perspective, leading to tragic consequences as government officials took his life.

【Open Letter to the Prime Minister the Honorable Anthony Albanese MP and Minister for Foreign Affairs the Honorable Senator Penny Wong 】

Dear Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs,

We, community organizations of the HongKonger diaspora in Australia, acknowledge the historical significance of your upcoming visit to the People's Republic of China (PRC) on November 4th. As you endeavor to rebuild diplomatic and economic ties with the PRC, we sincerely urge you to not lose sight of pressing human rights issues.

Since the crackdown on the pro-democracy movement in Hong Kong in 2019, the implementation of the National Security Law by the Chinese government has led to the arrest of a large number of pro-democracy activists and ordinary citizens, including legislators, lawyers, journalists, and media company owners and many others. These individuals face serious charges under the National Security Law. It is especially noteworthy that among those arrested is an Australian citizen, Mr. Gordon Ng （吳政亨）. He is accused of organizing Hong Kong's 2020 Legislative Council primaries, a charge under the National Security Law. Mr. Ng has consistently maintained his innocence and is actively preparing his defense in hopes of a fair trial. The Government of Hong Kong has been denying Mr. Ng any consular assistance.

Mr. Ng was educated in Australia and became an Australian citizen after graduating from university. He has been working in the finance sector in Hong Kong and has been a law-abiding citizen both in Australia and Hong Kong.
We strongly urge you, Prime Minister, to raise concerns about Mr. Gordon Ng during your meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping. We request that you demand consular access, humane treatment, and a fair trial for him.

Furthermore, from 2019 to October 2023, more than 1,600 individuals have been detained in Hong Kong, considered to be political prisoners, and political prosecutions continue. Additionally, eight overseas individuals are wanted on red notices, and their families residing in Hong Kong have faced harassment and intimidation by national security police, aiming to silence both Hong Kongers and those who have relocated overseas.

Hong Kong's democratic system has significantly deteriorated since the implementation of the National Security Law, limiting candidacy to only those approved by the government. This not only affects the political climate in Hong Kong but also undermines its role as an international financial center and destroys market transparency. Moreover, individuals holding British National (Overseas) passports also face difficulties in withdrawing their pension funds due to the deteriorating political atmosphere.

Respected Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, as you negotiate a new diplomatic relationship with the PRC, we kindly urge you to prioritize human rights issues on your agenda and demonstrate that Australia is engaging PRC on our own terms.

This is not just a matter of fundamental human rights for Australian citizen Mr. Gordon Ng and other detained individuals, but also an essential step in defending the principles of global freedom, justice, and democracy.

我們是澳洲香港人社區的代表，深感您即將於11月4日訪問中國是重要的歷史時刻。在您努力重建與中國的外交和經濟關係時，我們謹在此懇請您別忘了為人權問題發聲。
自2019年香港大規模抗議活動後，中國政府在香港實施國安法，導致大量民主派人士被捕。他們包括立法會議員、律師、記者和傳媒公司老闆，他們現正面對嚴重的國安法罪名。特別值得一提的是，在這些被捕人士中，有一位澳洲公民吳政亨先生。他被指參與組織2020年香港立法會民間初選而遭控違反國安法。吳先生至今仍認為他沒有犯罪，並積極為控罪答辯，期望有一個公平審訊結果。
吳政亨先生在澳洲受教育，大學畢業後取得澳洲公民身份後，在香港從事金融專業工作，奉公守法，無論在澳洲及香港，他也是一個良好的公民。
我們強烈要求總理閣下在會見中國國家主席習近平時，提出對吳政亨先生的關注，並要求給予他領事探訪權、人道對待和公平審訊。
自2019年至2023年10月，香港已有超過1600名被視為政治犯的人被拘留，且政治檢控仍在持續。同時有8名海外人士被懸紅通緝，其在香港的家人也遇到國安警察的騷擾、恐嚇，試圖令香港及已移居海外的人士噤聲。
香港的民主制度自國安法實施後嚴重倒退，只有政府認可的人士才有參選資格。這不僅影響了香港的政治氛圍，還破壞了香港作為國際金融中心的地位，並摧毀了市場透明度。此外，持有英國國民（海外）護照（BNO）的移民人士亦因政治氛圍惡化而面臨強積金取款困難。
尊敬的總理和外交部長，我們懇請您在與中國建立新的外交關係時，將人權問題放在議程的前列。這不僅是對澳洲公民吳政亨和其他被拘留人士的基本人權負責，也是對捍衛全球自由、公義和民主原則的重要一步。

近日，港共政權宣布以每人一百萬懸賞通緝8名居於海外嘅香港人，指控佢哋違反《港區國安法》，更透過帶走羅冠聰家人及Mee 一眾負責人，散佈恐嚇嘅紛圍和製造寒蟬效應。

港共政府對言論、傳媒採訪自由嘅打壓不但未有停止，反而變本加厲。最少有 3200 集節目下架，包括《頭條新聞》、《城市論壇》、《警訊》等五個節目，一集不留、全數下架。此外，《鏗鏘集》、《五夜講場》等六個節目，最少有 655 集被選擇性下架，題材涉及六四、尊子、吳靄儀、警方執法等相關內容。

當講真話、記錄真相可以被視為軟對抗、聽一首歌都有機會分裂國家嘅時候、甚至無辜嘅家人都輕易被捉走成為暴政嘅籌碼，究竟尚有幾多人仍然願意繼續擔當真相嘅守護者？

今年7月21日，我哋約定大家一齊參與喺UWA嘅721記念放映會。等我哋一齊保留真相，保留歷史。
