Sensitive Santa is coming to town…don’t miss out! 🎅
This festive season we are partnering with shopping centres across Perth for our Sensitive Santa sessions, where you and your family can see Santa in a sensory-friendly environment before the centres open or after they close.
Our Belmont Forum and Cockburn Gateway Shopping City sessions are now full – but limited spaces are available at Karrinyup Shopping Centre, Lakeside Joondalup and Westfield Booragoon.

WA came together to raise an incredible $83.2 million over the weekend! The generosity of the WA Community and Telethon, allows us to continue to support families across WA through our playgroups, training for community professionals and family support groups for parents and siblings.

This AAC Awareness Month, meet Jade 👋
She has lots of great ideas and lots to say. With the support of her Augmentative and Alternative Communication device and Speech Pathologist, she can now express herself and share news with her peers at school.

Our MyTime Australia Parent Coffee Group and Dads Coffee Group run throughout the school term and are available for families at no cost.
Come along to connect and chat with other parents, families, and carers. There are Play Leaders available to supervise children 6 and under so you have time to talk, share and support each other.
Our LINKS Playgroup is also running weekly throughout the school term at a range of locations across Perth.

The Autism Association is pleased to advise we have received funding from the Australian Government to support more Australians to study and complete psychology internships; building the mental health workforce so that Australians can access the mental health services they need.
The Association is one of the eight organisations across the country, and the only one in WA, chosen to provide Board-approved supervision to 48 provisional psychologists completing a one-year internship as part of the 5+1 internship pathway.
More details of how to apply for this program will be released in the coming weeks.

The school holidays are approaching, and while Autistic children may not miss school, they may miss the routine.
Making pizza is a great activity you can do with your kids at home. It supports with skill building at every stage of the recipe, including:
🍕 Developing bi-lateral coordination (using both sides of your body).
🍕 Strengthening the muscles in fingers and hands.
🍕 Providing a calming form of heavy work.
🍕 Language development.

Congratulations to this amazing group of PEERS Adolescents graduates! 🎉
Over the last 16 weeks, this group have met weekly, developing important social skills to build friendships and navigate different social settings.
The group celebrated by coming together to reflect on the skills learnt and friendships developed over the past 4 months; followed by a certificate presentation and some delicious snacks.
It was great to hear about the best parts of the sessions for each attendee and their plans to catch up outside of the group with their newfound friends.
