Homeowners, listen up!
🏚 Blocked or inactive sump pumps are a serious issue, particularly for those with below-ground garages, especially during stormy weather.

🍃🪵 It's often debris like plastic bags, leaves, rocks, and sticks that cause these blockages, hampering the pump's ability to do its job effectively. The consequence? Flooded properties, which can spell disaster for your home, cars, and belongings.

📑📑 But here's the silver lining: regular preventative checks and maintenance can make all the difference. By staying proactive, you can avoid the stress, headaches, and insurance claims that come with water damage. Take charge of your property's well-being today.

Homeowners, it's time to take charge of your property's well-being!

🏚 Don't wait until it's too late to address issues like clogged gutters, neglected drains, and malfunctioning sump pumps. Emergency services are only called once the damage is done, leaving you stressed and scrambling to mitigate the aftermath.

🦸 But here's the good news: proactive maintenance and timely repairs are your best allies against property damage and stress. By regularly clearing gutters, checking drains, and ensuring your sump pumps are in tip-top shape, you can prevent disasters before they strike.

💵 Remember, the cheapest and most effective way to reduce property damage and overall stress is through preventative maintenance. Don't let neglect drain your finances and peace of mind—take responsibility for your property today!

We ask our residents to stay alert and prepared for heavy rainfalls, isolated thunderstorms and flash flooding over the weekend.

Rainfall forecast for the east coast this weekend 💧

The NSW SES is closely monitoring forecasts and preparing assets & personnel for any potential flash flooding impacts over the coming days.

The Bureau of Meteorology is forecasting isolated heavy rainfall for the Illawarra, Central Coast, Sydney and Hunter regions, bringing a risk of localised flash flooding, particularly during Sunday. Isolated thunderstorms are expected to affect the far west from this afternoon. During Friday and Saturday, broad areas of the central and northern inland are forecast to receive moderate falls, with a risk of localised heavy falls and flash-flooding from thunderstorms.

⛈️ Volunteers, assets and flood rescue operators are ready and able to respond to any bad weather across NSW.

☂️ People can prepare their homes now by clearing their gutters and securing any loose outdoor items.

🚙 If come across a flooded road, stop, turn around and find an alternate route. Driving, walking or riding through floodwater is not worth the risk.

Hey there, homeowners, its me again 👋!
🌧 Don't let water damage put a damper on your day! Sump pumps are lifesavers in properties with basements and below-ground garages, as they swoop in to remove water before it causes chaos.

😫But here's the deal: failing to install or maintain your sump pump can result in pricey repairs and damage to your precious home and possessions.

🦸So, here's your solution: take charge! Test your sump pump regularly and invest in preventative maintenance. By staying proactive, you can keep your property dry and your possessions safe. Say goodbye to headaches and hello to peace of mind!

Get ready to know more about sump pumps ! Today, we're shining the spotlight on these essential home gadgets.

🪠Sump pumps come in two main types: manual (pedestal) and automatic (submersible). With manual pumps, you're in control, switching them on and off as needed. Meanwhile, automatic pumps kick into action automatically when water levels rise. Each type has its own set of advantages and disadvantages, so choose wisely!

🛒Where can you snag one of these lifesavers? Look no further than your local hardware stores, home improvement centres, or plumbing supply shops.

👷When it comes to installation, it's best to leave it to the pros. Hiring a professional ensures your sump pump is installed correctly and safely, giving you peace of mind.

🔧 And don't forget about maintenance! Keep track of your maintenance schedule to ensure your pump receives yearly check-ups. Regular maintenance not only keeps it functioning properly but also extends its lifespan.

Stay ahead of the game with your sump pump knowledge and keep your home protected from water damage!

With rainfall having continued overnight, our local residents may have woken to some leaking roofs.

Roof leaks frequently stem from obstructed gutters, which prevent water from draining properly. This obstruction often leads to water seeping under the eaves causing leaks into the ceiling.

To clear your gutters, residents may;
🛠 Physically remove leaves and dirt in gutters
🛠 Use the garden hose to clear/ flush drains
🛠 Remove the downpipe from gutter to release water and stop water from running down walls and windows
🛠 Seek assistance from Tradespersons
