Have Your Say on the Draft Hawkesbury Section 7.12 Contribution Plan 2024!
👉What is a Section 7.12 Contribution Plan?
A section 7.12 (formerly section 94A) of the Environment Planning and Assessment Act 1979, requires the payment of a monetary contribution in the form of a levy on proposed development over $100,001. The levy is calculated as a percentage of the proposed cost of the development.
Councils then use these monetary contributions to fund new and improved local infrastructure.
An update has been made to the Hawkesbury Section 7.12 Contribution Plan (formerly Section 94A) to ensure that it reflects the types of infrastructure, both new and renewed, that any future development is likely to generate a need for and Council is inviting community members to view and comment on the Draft Plan.

Update: traffic control is now onsite, please follow all directions given by traffic controllers.

📣 Weekly Liveability Update 📣
Night works commenced this week in section 7 & 8, which is on both sides of George Street between New Street and Fitzgerald Street. Work here includes the removal of the bitumen footpath, to be replaced with the herringbone paving seen in previously completed sections of George Street. Works here will take place between 7pm and 5am, Monday to Friday.
In road tree pits in section 6, on the east side of George Street between Dight Street and Suffolk Street, have been excavated. Now work has commenced on installing the Stratavault technology into the pits, to ensure the roots of the trees planted remain underground in the Stratavault cell instead of growing up through the road and paving.
The project team has also updated the Liveability Project's FAQ's! Our weekly posts are generating a lot of questions, so we have added some of the more commonly asked ones and their answers here 👉https://www.yourhawkesbury-yoursay.com.au/59753/widgets/303558/documents/297651
