Practical training is essential for students as it bridges the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world application.

Last week at Linx Institute, we had the pleasure of work placement training with our Aged Cared Cert 3 students.

The students were able to role-play with classmates, practise good health and safety measures, and use essential equipment just as they would on their placements.

Not only did our students learn about best practices, they learned empathy and have a newfound appreciation for how scary these procedures can be for their future clients.

We wish our Linx students the best of luck in their placements; you will do a fantastic job!

Moving on Up: Linx Institute is delighted to inform its students and business partners of the relocation of its Campus to the Sydney CBD.

We spoke to Linx Institute Aged Care (Certificate IV in Ageing Support) student, Sarah McKinlay from Scotland, about her Linx experience and moving to Sydney for her study adventure.

1) On living and studying in Sydney: "I would tell future students Sydney is a great place to study/live and has a great student culture. I would say the private medical insurance is expensive as well as tuition fees and international students don’t receive the same support from the government as residents do."

2) On the Linx study experience: "I have loved studying at Linx Institute. Despite most of my attendance being during a pandemic, the staff have been wonderful in providing support. My teacher Maree has been amazing in keeping all the students motivated and is doing a wonderful job teaching online."

3) On the Linx Work Placement experience: "I did a work placement at Catholic Healthcare as a social support volunteer. I loved the experience as it allowed me to meet so many great people and put the knowledge/skills I have learned at Linx to good use."

In line with today‘s NSW Government announcement, Linx has made the decision to start Term 3 (from Monday 12th July) ONLINE.

At this time, we expect to return to campus operations (face-to-face classes) once the current lockdown is ended, but this situation may change. We will continue to communicate with you to provide regular updates.

From Russia to Care: Our wonderful Diploma of Community Services student, Mariia Luneva from Vladivostok, is making great waves in the Sydney Care Community and has already completed her first Work Placement with outstanding results

Wonderful to welcome Sunshine Coast International College (SCIC) and Linx Institute recruitment partner Roseli M. Menezes of Rose Australia Pty Ltd to campus yesterday! We cannot wait to welcome Brazilian students to campus next term!

New Sister School: We are delighted to introduce our new sister school, Sunshine Coast International College Sydney！SCIC is an accredited English-language college based in the Sydney CBD, offering daytime and evening courses in General and Academic English. Founded in 2013, SCIC is well known for its warm atmosphere and the dedication of its wonderful team of qualified teachers. SCIC students come from all over the world, from Latin America to Asia, and Europe to the Middle East. Students planning to study a Linx Certificate or Diploma course may qualify for admission (English language requirement) through the SCIC General English or EAP (English for Academic Purposes) Course.
