After an exciting first concert at Wesley Uniting Church, Canberra, internationally acclaimed Australian flautist and educator Dr Sally Walker, Flautist will premiere selected works from her new album 'Boccherini: Chamber Works for Flute' (AVIE) at the Sydney Opera House and North Adelaide Baroque Concert Hall.🎶

'Music Fit for a King' presents stunning music by Mozart and Boccherini, two of the most celebrated composers from the ‘Golden Age’ of Classical music. We welcome you to experience the heart-quickening pleasures of this exciting music in the masterful hands of extraordinary flautist, Sally Walker, and an all-star ensemble drawn from Adelaide’s finest classical musicians.

It was a joy to have Michel Bellavance visit us last week!🎶 Michel is currently the Professor of Flute and Chamber Music at the Geneva Conservatoire (Haute École de Musique), and is presenting masterclasses at multiple conservatoriums and music schools in Australia and New Zealand over the next week. He generously gave his time to a few young Sydney flutists at our shop over the weekend who enjoyed working with him one-on-one. Safe travels and until next time, Michel!👋🏽

What a blast we had in Canberra at the ANU Flute Day on Saturday!🥳 Mark and Emma spent the day at the trade stand meeting wonderful flutists of all ages, skill levels, and experiences, as well as presenting workshops on extended techniques, performance anxiety, and the flute and the body.

Mark and Emma are alumni of the ANU School of Music so this was a particularly rewarding and sentimental trip. Thank you again to Sally Walker, Flautist and the ANU School of Music for involving us in what was a spectacular display of passion and community. We hope to see you all in Canberra again soon!👋🏽
