NO SCHOOL TOMORROW
A reminder that it is our annual staff formation day tomorrow, Friday 6th September. This means that it is a pupil free day with no supervision of students on site.

Positive attendance is so important for our students' success. Every day in school makes a difference and we are proud to be a place where all students can feel safe and nurtured as learners to achieve success on all levels. 🌟

Today we celebrated Father’s Day at St Patricks. We enjoyed a delicious BBQ, a beautiful Liturgy and saw our dads skip in some exciting relays. Great to have our wonderful dads on site. Have a fabulous Father’s Day on Sunday. 🎉🎉🎉

What’s on this week - Week 7, Term 3

Elite acrobats Stella and Allan, have been selected to represent Australia at the 2024 Acrobatic Gymnastics World Age Group Championships, held in Guimarães, Portugal. The pair will also be representing Australia at the Maia Acrobatic International Cup in Maia, Portugal. Both international events are fully self funded.

On Monday, the 26th of August, year 1, went to Sydney Zoo for their excursion. All students had a wonderful time and represented our School in the most respectful manner.

Today 5 brave students from St Patrick's Primary School Blacktown are taking part of the Sydney Academy Interschool Online Chess Challenge (Semi Finals). We wish them good luck as they compete in todays semi finals online.

A reminder that Friday 6th September will be a Professional Learning day for Staff, therefore there will be NO SCHOOL for students on this day.

On Monday 2nd September, Stella will be performing at Sydney Gymnastics & Aquatic Centre (SGAC) showcasing her Acrobatic Routines. The showcase is an opportunity for the athletes to showcase their talents and an opportunity for the community to cheer on our Australian Team and wish them luck before they head to Portugal for World Championships next Friday!

Time: 5-6:30pm 🌟

Yesterday (22 August) Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese released Encountering Jesus, a new Religious Education Curriculum for Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese, at our annual CSPD Education Mass.

This new curriculum aims to provide all students with the opportunity to come to know Jesus and to deepen their understanding of the Catholic tradition. It is available for use in CSPD schools from 2025.

Congratulations to eight of our Year 6 students who presented their Voice Of Youth speeches on Wednesday to Mrs. Fitzalan, Ms. Preston, Year 4 & 6 students as well as their parents. We are so proud of them! A further congratulations to Iyana and Richa, who will be representing St. Patrick’s at the Cluster Semi-Final in Week 6. Well done.

Year 3 had a busy day on Thursday taking part of the Science trail excursion at the Royal Botanic Gardens and the Australian Museum. We even had some of our students and teachers interviewed by the ABC radio station, stay tuned for the recording of this interview.

What’s on this week, Week 5, Term 3

🙏🙏Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. 🙏🙏Today, many of our students joined the parish mass to celebrate this special Feast Day. May Mary our Mother watch over us all 🙏🙏

Year 5’s camp to Bathurst was an incredible experience that truly brought our learning to life. We did so much, from visiting a museum, church and an old courthouse to roasting marshmallows by the campfire and panning for gold. The students had the opportunity to explore the Gold Rush era and see many fascinating artefacts firsthand. What an amazing camp!

A reminder our school photo day is TOMORROW 16/8/24.
All students are to wear their full Winter uniform along with their black shoes. Ties are essential. Hair must be neat and tidy. Please ensure your child/children arrive at school on time.
