I am a friendly and affectionate boy seeking my forever home. I was listed to be euthanized in December right around Christmas time as I was deteriorating at the pound but Rescue Hub saved me and I have been waiting to be ready for a home ever since.

I am extremely smart and I learn very quickly. I know basic commands but they can definitely be developed with some more consistency. I am very sweet and cuddly and I’m just looking for someone to give me a chance. I really enjoy running and playing outside so I would need a home with a yard.

I would not be suited to a home with cats or other dogs. I can be fear reactive to other dogs so I will need someone to support me through my training to build my confidence. Rescue Hub will cover the cost of my training.

***WELCOME TO THE RESCUE HUB FAMILY – INTRODUCING LOLA***



We were made aware of Lola’s living conditions, after her puppies were literally plucked from certain death. Wally's Doggie Rescue - Community were kind enough to take on all the puppies, and they will soon be available for their forever homes (post about the puppies tomorrow).

We then needed to find out what happened to Mum. Christina, one of our lovely volunteers, made countless phone calls to the owner’s friend, who was our contact, and the owner finally agreed to surrender our dear Lola as her health was deteriorating. Lola had been living on a chain, never touching grass and with minimal human contact. We could not let that continue.

Christina made the long journey early morning to pick up Lola and bring her back to our kennels. After having a small hearty breakfast, we rushed her to our local vet as she had been suffering from a high temperature for the past few days.

The vet gave her an antibiotic injection, full consultation, advised that we should get her desexed as soon as possible so we booked her in for the next day.

She is now back with us, living in our “al fresco” area through the day, and has a warm and comfy kennel to sleep in at night.

She is on a course of antibiotics as her temperature is still not quite back to normal. She is malnourished so still needs to gain some much needed weight. She is eating hearty meals so we hope that she will soon be back to a normal weight and health.

Lola will be available for adoption very soon - we just need to get her back to full health first.

Lola is the sweetest, most gentle girl. All she wants to do is follow you around all day, she will make the most perfect companion.

No other pets at this stage as she is very focal when she sees another dog. It seems she has not been socialized with other dogs during her life so far. She is slowly getting better when she sees other dogs and is settling into life with the RH team.

Birds and parrots are a definite no for Lola as we have discovered.

Donations towards the cost to Lola’s recovery would be appreciated.

Her vet costs are rising due to her high temperature and healing process from her internal infections. An ultrasound has been suggested initially if her temperature does not stabilise.

All deductions over $2 are tax deductible.

‼️WHAT A WEEK FOR WILLIE ‼️

Willie was due to be euthanised this Wednesday which was requested by his owners after abandoning him at a boarding facility.

Wille is a happy, healthy 7 years young lab X staffy, however his owner was not open to exploring other options.

The assistant manager from the boarding facility was not prepared to just sit back and watch Willie leave in a van to be euthanised. She went to great lengths and never gave up hope that there was a better outcome for Willie.

Rescue Hub joined forces via our Rescue Hub assisted adoption programme, to start working to promote Willie to find him his forever home.
His criticsl post was shared far and wide!
Willie received several applications in his final days. However none were as prepared, determined and dedicated as Connor.

Connor, with such little notice, paid for Willie's boarding to be extended until the weekend where he then made a 2 day, 20 hour round trip from Brisbane to save Willie's life.

A couple of unsuccessful applicants kindly made donations for Willie which allowed us to give him everything he needed for the best start towards his new life including lots of toys and special treats. 😋

Having lived most of his life outside, Willie's dreams came true last night he slept on the bed all night and even snored!🥺😂

Comment from Connor Willie's new dad - "I think he is settling in just fine, thank you guys again so much for the opportunity to adopt Willie he is one in a million!"

Willie is now safe and has an amazing life ahead of him full of adventures and slow introductions to his new doggy sister.

Thank you to everyone who was involved in this rescue… It only takes one person to mobilize a community and inspire change.

Can you believe it’s a week today since we were getting ready to pack up from The Dog Lover’s Festival,?
We had such an amazing time, met so many of our dog lover friends, RESCUE HUB supporters, , our wonderful foster carers and Adopters, plus our mascot from last year Lizzie with her Mum and Dad , who now has the most amazing family who love her so much.
Just wanted to say a big thank you to our amazing Rescue Hub team, who helped to set up our stand, work on the stand, and then the tough job of packing up! . It was a huge commitment but we all put so much work into the preparation and to the show itself, it was so worth it.
A big thank you to All Natural Home Made Dog Treats - by Amanda who so generously donated her wonderful treats, and doggy hats, you have a heart of gold and we are so forever grateful for your support.
Thank you everyone who visited our stand, and who support our rescue.
We would not be able to continue the work we do, without our amazing sypporters.
