We are BACK at Quayside Terminal Townsville . It's right near the city centre but its also a lil bit out of the way💄💋🤩

Drop Offs
Drop offs via a friend/taxi/uber/your mum is going to be easiest. Drop off location is nice and big and is right by the entry to the gig.

Driving?
The car park is located off Ross St, about 450 metres from Quayside Terminal, across from Magnetic Island Ferries. Guests will then need to walk down to the venue.
There are limited car parks at the front of the venue which are reserved for guests with disabilities. Please email hello@q***rcandy.com.au to reserve a disability car park.

After Party Bus
We are keeping the party going at our official after party at The Mansfield.
Kween Kong will be there for a meet & greet and DJ Fluffy Dolfin will be slinging tunes so that we can continue this party to the break of DAWN (read: 3am). The bus will run loops from 11.30pm💅

Mayor Jenny Hill, baby, we wanted to give you the low down on how your support of Q***r Candy goes down.

The LGBTQIA+ community is a marginalised one, experiencing violence and discrimination regularly. This is especially true in regional centres. Q***r Candy constantly monitors our feed for comments from close minded individuals who have nothing better to do than spread hate. Drag Queens were slandered in the international media throughout 2023 to a point where local drag artists (pictured) received threats of violence for marching in Townsville City Council's Youth Pride Parade. They were advised not to march. They marched anyway. Slay.

Celebrating q***rness in an atmosphere of joy and acceptance gives us somewhere to feel safe, but more importantly to feel pride – just for being our authentic selves. Being a part of a strong community improves mental health and provides support for those struggling with bigotry.

Your grant dollars pay for our stage and lights. For our music and technicians. Most importantly your dollars pay our local artists. To get onstage and inspire a community to celebrate their q***rness. In all its flavours.

The Regional Arts Development Fund is a partnership between the Queensland Government and the Townsville City Council to support local arts and culture in regional Queensland.
