In the face of unimaginable challenges, our dear friend Adrian Arciuli, along with his two young daughters, needs our collective strength. We are calling upon our community to join hands and hearts, providing both emotional and financial support to help this family through a difficult time.

😇 On Wednesday 22nd November we lost the beautiful Bridget Munro. Bridget was not only a talented journalist, but she was also an incredible human being - a wonderful friend, an amazing mum to Gracie (3) and Margot (7 months) and the most loving wife to Adrian. Her loss leaves a devastating hole in so many lives.

It is with a heavy heart that we convey profoundly impactful news regarding our esteemed committee member, Adrian Arciuli .Adrian, a cherished individual within our community, has recently experienced an overwhelming and sudden loss—the passing of his beloved wife, Bridget Munro. This heartbreaking event has left Adrian, along with his two precious daughters, Gracie (3) and Margot (7 months), grappling with immeasurable pain and a future that seems difficult to fathom.

Adrian, a true gentleman known for his supportive and generous nature, has always approached life with infectious enthusiasm, whether it be for his family or his passion for football. His resilience and "full steam ahead" attitude have been unwavering, and he has selflessly dedicated himself to the well-being of others. Now, in the face of this unimaginable tragedy, it is our turn as a community to rally together and offer our assistance to a family that has given so much to others.

The Illawarra Mercury Sport’s Josh Bartlett spoke with our new Technical Director & AA1 FG Head Coach Jeff Allport about the club’s new strategic plan that was unveiled this week.

Here’s a sneak peak of the story.

"It's a chance to provide a pathway for what really is a growing area. If you look at Albion Park now, it takes in Tullimbar and Calderwood. It's a growing area with lots of young families, and it would be great to be a football club that they're all proud of’” Allport said.

Amongst the more than 20 players in attendance, it was great to see a number of former juniors take part in the session, as we aim to provide increased pathways for our current juniors.

Albion Park Football Club is delighted to officially unveil our new club logo as we begin a new era for football in the 2527 postcode.

👇 Here are some of the key features explained 👇

💚- The club's traditional bottle green colour has been made more prominent on the club shield, which remains the same shape and size but with a gold outline.

🏠 - The inclusion of four important numbers, 2527. This is to reflect our representation as a football club for the entire 2527 postcode, which has grown significantly in recent years with large scale development in Calderwood and Tullimbar.

⚽️ - The word soccer is replaced with football to reflect our official name change to modern day naming conventions. The traditional ball remains front and centre on the shield.

📆 - The inclusion of the club's formation year of 1975, to ensure the club's history is further highlighted, particularly as the club prepares to celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2025.

A huge thanks to Veto Sports for designing our new club shield and we can't wait to see it displayed across the 2527 postcode in 2024.

🌭 BUNNINGS BBQ WRAP 🌭

It was perfect conditions at Bunnings Shellharbour today for a BBQ as the crowds flocked to the hardware mecca on a rainy Saturday.

A huge thanks to Simon Sciberras, Regina Moran, Andrew John Wynniatt, Nick Pappas, Deacon Pappas, Tom Arciuli & Adrian Arciuli for their efforts, helping raise more than $1,500 for Albion Park Football Club.

It was great to see so many players and parents as we begin looking ahead to the 2024 season.

🌭 BUNNINGS BBQ FUNDRAISER 🌭

It's one of life's great honours and this Saturday, Albion Park Football Club will be hosting a BBQ at Bunnings Shellharbour.

Please pop down from 8am onwards to grab a famous Albion Park Village Meats sausage on a piece of bread as well as a drink.

All proceeds go to the directly to the club and we would love to see as many of you as possible.

💛 SENIOR PRESENTATION NIGHT 💚

A huge thanks to everyone who attended our Senior Presentation night at the Terry Reserve Clubhouse yesterday.

Our first full season since 2019 was hugely successful, with our All Age Division 3 Men taking home the league championship.

The All Age Division 3 Women had a great campaign and our Division 3 Over 35’s sides also had some great results.

We now look forward to a hugely exciting 2024 for our senior program which is promising to be the biggest in our club’s history.

Congratulations to all of our award and lucky door prize winners.

Aaron’s family invite former team mates and friends in a celebration of his life on 9th October at Warilla Barrack Surf Club.

Our Club played a vital role in Aaron’s life for many years as a father, player and coach. Our thoughts continue to be with his family during this difficult time.

The build to the 2024 season is happening literally right at Albion Oval, as the new amenities block at the historic venue hits another milestone.

A huge thanks to Shellharbour City Council for this crucial piece of infrastructure that will benefit its many users for years to come.

With heavy hearts, we share the very sad news of the sudden passing of Aaron Davis. Aaron, a cherished figure in our Albion Park Football Club family, graced us with his presence as a player, coach, and as a parent to one of our enduring junior players.

The committee of the Albion Park Football Club, alongside Aaron's former teammates, extend our deepest and most heartfelt sympathies to Xavier and his family during this difficult time.

💛 LIGHTING UPGRADE UPDATE 💚

Our offseason campaign is off to an electric start with footings going in for our new lights on Terry Reserve Fields 3 & 4.

In 2024, Albion Park Football Club will now be able to play competition matches at night on these fields.

APFC will continue to advocate for upgrades to the facility as a whole with our participation numbers set to increase as the 2527 population continues to grow at a rapid rate.

We thank Gareth Ward for helping secure this $331,376 grant as part of the NSW Government’s Stronger Country Community Fund.

Shellharbour Council is in the process of renovating the children's playground at Terry Reserve, specifically at the Grey Street end.

💚 RUNNERS UP 💛

It was penalty heartbreak for our Under 12 Div 2 girls today as they went down 3-2 on penalties to Helensburgh Thistles Soccer Club in the Grand Final.

A thrilling match finished goalless but it was the Burgh who prevailed in the shootout.

Congratulations to both teams and to our girls especially for a fantastic season. The future of women’s football is bright!

The Thistles also got the better of our Under 17 Div 1 Boys on Friday night.

Thanks to everyone who supported our sides over the weekend.

It's been a fantastic start to Junior Grand Final weekend for Albion Park Football Club with 2 wins from 3 matches.

Congratulations to our Under 12 Div 2 Boys who defeated Gerringong Breakers Football Club 4-1 and to our Under 13 Div 3 Boys who overcame Coniston FC 1-0 at Gerry Emery Oval this morning.

It wasn't to be for the Under 17 Div 1 Boys who went down 4-0 to Helensburgh Thistles Soccer Club last night. Congratulations on a fantastic season fellas.

🥳As we gear up for the eagerly awaited Junior Grand Finals this weekend, we would like to inform you about the road closures that will be implemented during this period. Specifically, the entrance to West Dapto Road which will be temporarily inaccessible, with alternative detour routes set up to guide you.

These detours will be in place from Friday 8th September 9:00pm - Sunday 10th September 11:00pm.

⚠️We kindly urge you to plan your journey accordingly, allowing for extra time to accommodate these closures as you make your way to the Grand Finals this weekend.

Albion Park Football Club is delighted to have 4 teams competing in this weekend's IMB Bank Football South Coast Junior Grand Finals.

The action begins on Friday night with our Under 17 Div 1 Boys taking on Helensburgh Thistles Soccer Club at Ian McLennan Park 1 (6pm KO).

We then head down to Gerry Emery Oval on Saturday morning as our Under 12 Div 2 Boys face Gerringong Breakers Football Club while our Under 13 Div 3 Boys battle Coniston FC.

The matches will be played simultaneously on Field 1 and 2.

On Sunday, the Under 12 Div 2 Girls clash with Helensburgh Thistles Soccer Club at Ian McLennan Park 2 (10.45am KO).

Please note for those attending matches at IMP, there are road closures in place, so please allow extra travel time.

We urge of all our Albion Park Football Club family to show your and get out to the matches in club colours.
