The Illawarra Mercury Sportโs Josh Bartlett spoke with our new Technical Director & AA1 FG Head Coach Jeff Allport about the clubโs new strategic plan that was unveiled this week.
Hereโs a sneak peak of the story.
"It's a chance to provide a pathway for what really is a growing area. If you look at Albion Park now, it takes in Tullimbar and Calderwood. It's a growing area with lots of young families, and it would be great to be a football club that they're all proud ofโโ Allport said.
Allport rejuvenated as he prepares to lead Albion Park FC's new era The club has major long-term plans for success, on and off the field.
โฝ๏ธ PRE-SEASON BEGINS โฝ๏ธ

๐ GREEN FUTURE ๐
There's been plenty of changes for Albion Park Football Club in recent months and many of our players, coaches and members may be wondering what this all means for the club.
This video, which we showed at our junior presentation day to all players and parents, outlines the club's new strategy and plan for the football in the 2527 postcode.
The key pillars to the club's new strategy include.
๐ A renewed emphasis on celebrating the club's rich history ahead of our 50th anniversary celebrations in 2025.
๐ Futher enhancing pathways for our juniors by seeking promotion to the Men's District League in 2025, Women's Premier League by 2030 and creating teams in every age group from Miniroos to Over 45's in Community League starting in 2024.
๐ Becoming one of the best development clubs in the Illawarra for junior players by investing in our coaches, infrastructure and facilities.
๐ Connecting with as many local businesses within the 2527 postcode to further embed our club within the local community.
๐ Fostering a welcoming environment that connects every player, coach, member and supporter of the club.
We hope you can all join us on this exciting journey which is now officially underway.
๐จ NEW CLUB LOGO REVEALED ๐จ
Albion Park Football Club is delighted to officially unveil our new club logo as we begin a new era for football in the 2527 postcode.
๐ Here are some of the key features explained ๐
๐- The club's traditional bottle green colour has been made more prominent on the club shield, which remains the same shape and size but with a gold outline.
๐ - The inclusion of four important numbers, 2527. This is to reflect our representation as a football club for the entire 2527 postcode, which has grown significantly in recent years with large scale development in Calderwood and Tullimbar.
โฝ๏ธ - The word soccer is replaced with football to reflect our official name change to modern day naming conventions. The traditional ball remains front and centre on the shield.
๐ - The inclusion of the club's formation year of 1975, to ensure the club's history is further highlighted, particularly as the club prepares to celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2025.
A huge thanks to Veto Sports for designing our new club shield and we can't wait to see it displayed across the 2527 postcode in 2024.
