A special mention to our newest member Taj Caldwell who competed in the U12 500m and 200m events earning a gold medal in both events.👏👏

Social paddlers enjoyed a beautiful morning on the lake today.

A Braca XI 705 with a light green shaft, 209-214 cm was left at Minnamurra on Saturday morning. Please comment on this post if you know of its whereabouts. Thank you.

Nice to have the Makai crew on the water this morning!

Well done to all of our paddlers who raced in the 20 Beaches Ocean Classic on Saturday. Tough conditions and Southerly wind saw the race leave from Colleroy finish at Palm Beach.

Recreational paddlers had a lovely paddle out of Shellharbour today

Two events were held over the weekend. The 1st round of the Paddle NSW Sprint Series was held in Avoca and hosted by the Avoca Kayak Club. Tarren Elliott had some good results throughout the regetta. Race 5 of the Harbour Series was held at Patonga Beach on the Central Coast. Some great results from the Harbour Series included Kynan Burke, 1st U18s, Callum Elliott, 2nd 19-39yrs and Craig Burke, 8th over 50s. Well done!

A beautiful morning for the Hacking Classic held in Cronulla this morning. Well done to the Illawarra Canoe Club paddlers with special mention to Kynan Burke who won his U18 single ski category for the long course event.

The Sprint Series is for any ability and is a great way to have a go at sprint kayaking.

The Sprint Series kicks off at Avoca Kayak Club on Saturday, 26th August, 10am - 2pm. Always a great day at Avoca. Come along and have your first race for the season.

Well done at Worlds to Illawarra Canoe Club's Jasmine Locke - The Illawarra Flame Soon after Bulli Surf Life Saving Club’s Jasmine Locke was named Athlete of the Year at Illawarra SLS Awards of Excellence, the 21-year-sprint kayaker flew to Italy to compete in the U23 Canoe Sprint World Championships, held at Auronzo from July 5-9.

Thanks Rhonda for organising ICC Social paddle. Great paddle 15.5km, good weather and company on Broughton Creek Berry.
