Alliston Food Bank

MISSION: To provide nutritional food assistance to individuals and families encountering difficulty

We are a 100% volunteer organization run by over 85 members of our community. Volunteers sort food, clean the premises, transport food and interview and serve clients. Open to clients Wednesdays 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm and Thursdays 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm (last afternoon time to shop is at 3:45pm) & 5:00-7:00pm (last evening time to shop is 6:45pm). Thank you MacKenzie Sweet Corn for donating around 350 lbs of delicious corn every week during corn season. Our clients loved it and as you can tell from the photo, so did our volunteers! Thank you for feeding our neighbours! 🌽

The Alliston Food Bank would like to thank the Quilting Corners Guild for their donation of 18 children's quilts & 11 adult quilts that were created for their Christmas in July Event. These beautiful handmade quilts, that reflect many hours of hard work and incredible craftsmanship, were present to representatives of the AFB and other community agencies tonight in a moving ceremony. Our sincere thanks to all the members of the guild for this touching donation 💙!

Just a reminder to our clients that our new Thursday shopping hours start this week. We open in the afternoon from 1-4pm. At 4 pm, we close for 1 hr to restock our shelves, and then we re-open from 5-7pm for our evening hours.
