Things were "hopping" at the Alliston Food Bank on Thursday afternoon when we had a surprise visit from ! Anne was only too happy to offer our visitors a carrot 🥕 to sustain them on their journey!

Thank you MacKenzie Sweet Corn for donating around 350 lbs of delicious corn every week during corn season. Our clients loved it and as you can tell from the photo, so did our volunteers! Thank you for feeding our neighbours! 🌽

Huge thank you to our amazing volunteer Henry, for donating an incredible $1000; this donation is going to feed many families! Thank you for your support, both financially and for volunteering your time each week.

Katrina stopped by the Alliston Food Bank this afternoon to pick up her Amazon gift card for her successful guess on our Pasta Jar game! Congratulations from all of us!

Huge thank you to FM 92 South Simcoe for hosting the All Hands On Deck Food Drive today at Zehrs's Alliston. They collected an incredible 197 lbs of food and $336.30 for our community! Way to go team!! Thank you Zehrs, Meadowood Tree Service and Trevor's Roof Repairs for sponsoring this event.

Our sincere thanks to the Rotary Club of Alliston and Maple Leaf Foods of Canada in Bradford for the 54 boxes of food donated to the Alliston Food Bank and Matthew's House this afternoon. Your support of our local community is much appreciated!

Our thanks to everyone who came out to visit us on Saturday during the Potato Festival. We'll be in touch shortly with our winners of the "Guessing Contest" -- and for those who want to know: there were 53 toys in the toy box, 172 pieces of pasta in the pasta jar, & 2022 peas in the pea jar!

Our cooler is FULL thanks to Murphy's Farm Market & Bakery for their very generous (and delicious) donation of 670lbs of fresh corn on the cob & 110lbs of butter tarts this morning! You folks are fantastic and your generosity will be much appreciated by all our families. A huge thank you from the Alliston Food Bank!

Our sincere thanks to the Nottawasaga OPP and New Tecumseth Fire Rescue for the 118lbs of food collected on July 27 at their charity Baseball Match--the big winner in the game was the Alliston Food Bank and all the families who will benefit from your generosity! A huge THANK YOU to all of you!

The Alliston Food Bank would like to thank the Quilting Corners Guild for their donation of 18 children's quilts & 11 adult quilts that were created for their Christmas in July Event. These beautiful handmade quilts, that reflect many hours of hard work and incredible craftsmanship, were present to representatives of the AFB and other community agencies tonight in a moving ceremony. Our sincere thanks to all the members of the guild for this touching donation 💙!

A huge thank you to our community for their overwhelming support of today's "Stuff the Bus" fundraiser at Zehrs in Alliston. Once again, our sincere thanks to the Zehrs Asset & Loss Prevention Dept, the Nottawasaga Detachment of the OPP Auxiliary, & Landmark Bus Lines for the 450lbs of food & $383.50 in donations collected amidst the "liquid sunshine". Our heartfelt thanks to the employees of Honda Manufacturing Canada's Engine Plant for the $600 in donations raised through their 8th Annual Golf Tournament on Saturday. Your continued support of the Alliston Food Bank is greatly appreciated and does so much to help so many families across our county! You folks are AWESOME!

Just a reminder to our clients that our new Thursday shopping hours start this week. We open in the afternoon from 1-4pm. At 4 pm, we close for 1 hr to restock our shelves, and then we re-open from 5-7pm for our evening hours.
