1st Bedford Scout Group
The 1st Bedford Scout Group is a very active part of Scouts Canada. Leaders are needed too! Meetings are held on Tuesday evenings.
We provide opportunities in Scouting from Beavers level through to Venturers (ages 5-18) - for all youth.
1st Bedford Scout Group is currently recruiting for new leaders, especially at the Beaver Scout and Cub Scout levels. Please reach out to [email protected] for more information.
Hey Bedford friends!
Our scout group needs your help! We recently took over a cabin at Miller Lake and we need to do some repairs. Before we go out and buy stuff we are looking to our community, a little bit here and there really makes a difference.
We are looking for the following.
Pressure treated and regular wood, any size and usable length.
Deck screws, structural screws
Screening for windows
Outdoor paint / stain
Old tools (saws, hammers)
Biggest dream - a certified wood stove
If you have something that you think a scout cabin could use please send me a DM .
Everything helps.
Thanks in advance.
Scouter Ruth
Here are some highlights from last weekends trip to Lodges & Lairs. The youth has a great time and I am sure they will have lots of great memories.
This past weekend our Beavers and Cubs went to Camp Nedooae for Lodges & Lairs. Thanks to our Venturers and Scout leaders who joined us at camp to prepare the meals for the youth, parents, and leaders who participated at camp.
This past week, the Beavers Scouts explored Sandy Lake to find a place to install a Wood Duck box. We will return in the coming weeks to install the box in a tree with clear exposure to the lake.
Today, the Scouts hiked Cape Split. The day was perfect: great weather; amazing views; and most importantly…great memories!
On November 25th, 1st Bedford Scouts completed their annual leaf raking at Bedford United Church. A small gesture of thanks from our Scouts for the church’s ongoing support and continued sponsorship of our group.
