Saturday feature race results were as follows:
Ethan spun in his pre-final, started 6th and recovered to 4th

Wyatt moved from 12th up to 9th, running at the tail of a group of 4. With 2 laps to go, there was a stack-up that resulted in Wyatt breaking his front end and not being able to finish.

With severe weather in the forecast for Sunday, The Saturday schedule had most of Sundays events tagged onto the end of it. This would have resulted in the boys not starting their days final events until 9 and 9:30pm. Having been at the track since 7am and not wanting to stick the boys into an event that may not happen, or would happen in frigid wet temperatures, we made the decision to withdraw from Sundays events and concludes our Florida race-cation.

We cant thank enough, everyone who helped out during the past 2 weeks. This was an amazing trip and an amazing experience and we feel so fortunate to have been able to share it with so many great, supportive people. Thank you all!

Appreciated this interview with the SOS tour leaders Peter and Daryl

Lucas Smith - Volusia Speedway, January 27, 2024 We spoke to Lucas about his trip to Florida, his mechanical issues as well as a focus on racing with his family in 2024.

01/27/2024

Night 2 we had to retire from the B-main with engine issues
Upon inspection today we have made the decision to sit-out and play it safe and take in the final night from the stands

We are very happy with having achieved our goal of being in the top 10 in the b main and being able to say we were here, had a great time, a great experience and suffered no car damage

Our engine just couldn’t quite hack it but, these things happen

Now we take 4 days off before heading up to Jacksonville for 4 days of road course Karting!

It’s never good when the hood comes off and then the rocker covers. Infortunately Lucas Smith’s weekend has come to an end.

01/26/2024

Good learning night tonight, didn’t make the show but wow is this place fast, smooth and cool!

01/13/2024

Super excited to finally share this!

In less then 2 weeks time, we will be setting off to take the Connell’s construction and Mother Bears Garden 360 on a trip to the south to race 3 days with the USCS at Volusia

The following weekend, we will be headed up to Jacksonville’s 103rd street complex for the boys to race their asphalt road course karts with Cup Karts tour

11 days, 5 race days, 2 practice days

This is a major bucket list trip for myself and should be a great all around experience for the 2 young racers of the next generationion

We will do our best to keep you all updated as things progress

Thank you to everyone who has helped to make this happen!

ONLY 15 Days Away! Jan. 25th-27th ●●●▪︎▪︎▪︎▪︎■■■■●●●●Drivers from around the country will venture to Volusia Speedway Park for the United Sprint Car Series Opener, Jan. 25-27

Among the list of marquee events hosted at Volusia Speedway Park this winter, one is the fastest growing 360 Sprint Car race in the country – the Germfree Southern Sprint Car Shootout.

The event will again kick off the Winter Heat Series for the United Sprint Car Series (USCS), but this time as a three-day show (Jan. 25-27) with a more than $65,000 overall purse.

Boasting the biggest payday in USCS history, Saturday’s finale will pay $10,000 to win and $600 to start. Thursday and Friday’s Features will pay $2,500 to win. There will also be a $100 prize for overall Fast Time and a $100 Hard Charger Award each night.

A redraw will line up the first eight starting positions of the Feature every night, taking the four Heat Race winners and fastest qualifiers in a transfer position. In the redraw will be a Joker card. Whoever draws the Joker card will get to choose where they want to start in the Feature. If they choose to start from eighth and then win, that driver will get an extra $500.

Big names like Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Ryan Timms, 15-time USCS National Champion, former USCS Florida State Chapion, Danny Martin, Jr. 2022 National Sprint Car Hall of Fame inductee and 15-time USCS National Champion,Terry Gray and local hero Tyler Clem came out for the inaugural race in 2023 and are projected to return in 2024, along with a long list of the best 360 Sprint Car drivers around. Even one from across the pond as Ryan Harrison, from Rothwell, England, plans to return.

By winning the 360 Sprint Car Battle in Barberville finale, Danny Martin Jr. is locked into Saturday’s $10,000-to-win event (But if he locks in without needing the guaranteed starting spot, it will go to the next driver from the Battle in Barberville race not locked in).

Joining the Sprint Cars every night will be the Florida 3/4 Modifieds. They’ll race for a $400 payday on Thursday and Friday, and then a $800 grand prize on Saturday.
