Check out this amazing VBAC story!

"I desperately wanted to experience natural childbirth, and I wasn’t going to let my C-section scar or anyone tell me different.

When my son was born via planned C-section due to placenta Previa. I didn’t feel like I’d given Birth and was upset I didn’t get to experience labour. ( not even a braxtons hicks) It’s not what I have always in visioned for my birth story.
To protect me and my son, a team of doctors and my midwives had no choice but to avoid a vaginal delivery

Friends and family kept telling me that it didn’t matter how my son came into the world as long as he was healthy, and I knew they were right. But I had always wanted to experience a natural, unmedicated vaginal birth.

The doctors and midwives told me I was a great candidate for a VBAC so I was determined to try to have a vaginal delivery. I dreamt to feel labor, even the painful parts.

18 months later I was pregnant with my second son, I knew I had to do everything I could to try and have a successful VBAC. I hired Stacey, a Doula who had her advanced VBAC certification to help me plan my vaginal birth with no interventions. We discussed my fears and what was important to me and my husband so we could have a positive experience.

My labor started with my water breaking with meconium. I called both my midwife and Stacey to let them know that my labor has started but we had a set back due to the meconium. I knew right away that my chances of me having a successful VBAC have decreased.

I had to be admitted to the hospital right away because of the meconium. I remember being so excited to be able to feel what an actual contraction felt like (Crazy I know) while I was waiting for my mom to take care of my son so I could go to the hospital.

When I got to the hospital my labor started to ramp up, I was doing different laboring positions, kept moving to keep progressing my labor. Every time the OB would walk-in I would get white coat syndrome and my labor would stall. I ended up having to go on pitocin to speed up my labor because of the meconium. Unfortunately, because of covid, Stacey was denied entry BUT we are so greatful for the prenatal education she provided. She taught us different positions and tricks that my husband was able to do. The double hip squeezes, sitting on the ball and all the other positions helped me fight through the pain with no medication.

After 16 hours of laboring and 4 hours of pushing I was able to have a successful VBAC!!! I can’t thank my husband, midwives, nurses, OB and doula enough for helping me have another healthy beautiful boy via VBAC💕💕💕

Birth is amazing no matter how it happens!

Birth is Birth!

This amazing mama labored for 15 hours, pushed for a total of 5 but her sweet babes head was so swollen he didn't want to come down.
She had a cesarean birth and it was beautiful 💗

Even though we try for a vaginal, sometimes, babe comes earthside via Cesarean birth.

It's not the birthers fault at all. This birth was amazing and beautiful and I am so blessed I got to assist for the entire labor!
Also those hip squeezes 💪

Still overjoyed to be there for my client and her support person (dad)
The nurses and doctors have been amazing and so welcoming.

April is Cesarean awareness month. I want to take the time to celebrate this freaking amazing mama, client and friend!

Her first sweet babe was a Cesarean and she JUST had this precious boy in her first VBAC 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌

Even though I wasn't able to attend the birth due to being denied entry, even with pre-approval, I coached as much as I could via texting to hubby and being available whenever they needed me!

This VBAC mama is amazing and she got her VBAC even if everything else on her birth plan went out the window. She is such an inspiration and I'm so honored to be her Doula!

Let's celebrate our VBAC mamas🎉🎉

💗The most important thing is baby and mama is happy and healthy💗

Lots of people wonder if a Doula is even needed if family can come. The answer is absolutely yes! We are trained in evidence based birth.
I wish I had a Doula with mine now and I will always reccomend to friends.

Question 3

Photos from Stacey Tweedle Doula Care's post 03/24/2021

Question number two!

This is a common misconception. People often say I don't need a doula because I have my midwife. Let me tell you midwives LOVE working with Doulas!!
They also advocate for their clients to hire us! So if course you can have both🙌

03/23/2021

🙌🙌Check it out 🙌🙌

Another training. Always learn to expand your knowledge in your profession.
I am so thrilled I was able to complete this training through the amazing with Julie and Megan! It was so good, I highly reccomend it to everyone!

This came with perfect timing as my first VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean) mama is due any day now 💗

Good afternoon!
Thought I would come on here and introduce my lovely family to everyone and say a little more about me :)

This is my family, swipe right and see a more realistic picture of us 🤣🤣 we are a goofy bunch who loves family movie nights, trips together, camping, going to camp and games game games!

My husband's name is Jon and he's a jr high PE teacher and a dang good one. We've been married for 8 years!
My kiddos are Hope(6) and Tate(4)
We are also adopting two beauties from 🇭🇹 Haiti! And are so thrilled to be doing so. All in God's timing.

I am an Early Childhood Educator by trade and have been doing that job for over 15 years. Got my education from Mt. Royal University in 2010 after a little trip to New Zealand to work with children there.

My passion for birth came naturally after I had my own and friends started to ask me for advice and help with their labors and births.
I'm so excited to be starting this new chapter in my life.
I'm always learning and in fact going to be vbac trained and certified soon. I am also doing the postpartum doula training :)

Double Hip squeeze anyone?

The double Hip squeeze is a type of pressure massage often used in labor🙌

During labor the pelvis is being stretched by the pressure of the baby's head as it moves down. This can cause lots of pressure on the sacrum (triangular bone in lower back).

This position can positively relieve the pressure of the stretching that causes the pelvis to flare out. Therefore, great relief for mama and a little extra room for babe to move on down👍

**Side note doing this for 5 hours straight gives you mad pipes 💪**
