Ooh yea, it was like that 💫🌸🌼✨

Instagram has really gotten the boot these days 😆 But this spring all of my photography clients are connected through friends & family, or people who I’ve previously witnessed at other significant moments of their lives, and that feels really special.

Sometimes it’s good to know who your photographer is so here’s a reminder: 👋 it’s me! I’m Alexandra, BBIIGG fan of food and reading and running and taking pictures of people and places. I like stuff that makes me laugh and stuff that makes me think. My husband Colin often shoots weddings with me and saves my life when it comes to tech and business dealings. A good example of our relationship is that this morning I spontaneously planned a family trip to Vancouver (because two years of blahdemic make you crazy) and he did his best to not freak out and make sure we were paying with the credit card that got us the most rewards, I know we’ll both thank each other later. We have three daughters who crack us up every day.

Sometimes to try and get kids to look in the camera I tell them to see if they can see anything magical in my lens and sometimes they get really curious 🤩

I’ve been photographing weddings for a decade now (as of this month! I should share some of my first wedding photos 😊) and every season has brought its own joys and struggles. The joy I have found in these last couple years is connecting with couples in unique weddings that inspire me and vibe so well with my style, confidence and trust in my abilities, and an commitment to stick with it even when it’s hard. The biggest struggle has been trying to figure out how to fit it all in as a mom of three who is trying to stay healthy. I’m sure whether you’re a photographer or not, a mom or not, many of you can relate to the struggle of trying to find balance and health and joy in all the madness. We are doing it, and we’re doing it alongside each other. Look at these joyful ones dancing!

I know this post should be about them spending their lives together but I often think about how lucky I am to get them as bro & sis-in-law for life. It will be filled with lots of adventures, good conversations, the best technology, ramen, and donuts and I really couldn’t ask for anything more 💛💛
