There's just something so special about a rainy wedding day! I know most people don't want rain on their wedding day, in fact I think the ONLY people who hope for rain are photographers... haha!! Or at least overcast or fluffy clouds to create soft lighting! ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

It was neither warm nor calm, it was chilly and windy as heck! ​​​​​​​​​Worth it! ​​​​​​​​​

If looks could kill, the mother of the bride would have had my head on a stake when I said "this weather is perfect!!!". There was a hail storm mere hours before the outdoor ceremony was to start. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​I knew if the storm stopped and the clouds stayed (which it did), we would have absolutely perfect weather. Everything was extra lush and colourful thanks to the fresh rain, the clouds meant no one was squinting or wearing sunglasses, everyone was softly lit which was beautiful, it simply doesn't get better!

Freezing cold? Yes... Worth it? YESSSS ❤️❄️ The sun was warm at least, one of the reasons I love living here! I recently found out Calgary is apparently the "sunniest city in Canada"! Maybe this isn't new information, but I didn't know that haha! ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Life changing 🙏🏼 This couple, and their wedding, literally changed my life. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​I am not being dramatic, it is hard to put into words the impact this couple had on me. Working with Alex and John made me reflect on my life and my definition of love. Their unconditional and immense amount of love for each other was so easy to see, it was beautiful to witness. I'll forever be grateful.

I couldn't have asked for a cooler couple to capture. These two got into a wet canoe on their wedding day? It was absolutely epic!! Annnnndddd we finished off with pizza in a park, which was much deserved after their very early morning! ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Don't hate me... but I can't wait for magical snowy sessions!! ❄️​​​​​​​​​I have always loved winter because of snowboarding, snowmobiling, skiing, playing in the snow is just SO much fun! Nothing beats doing a photoshoot and having huge fluffy snowflakes everywhere though!! ❄️ ​​​​​​​​​
