Let's dive into the fascinating world of phonological awareness!
Have you ever wondered how we develop our language skills and become proficient readers? Well, phonological awareness plays a crucial role in this process.
Phonological awareness refers to our ability to identify and manipulate the sounds in spoken language. It involves recognizing and understanding individual sounds (phonemes), syllables, rhymes, and the structure of words.
Developing phonological awareness is like solving a puzzle. We learn to break words apart, blend sounds together, and manipulate them to form new words. This skill helps us with spelling, decoding words, and overall reading fluency.
Think of phonological awareness as the foundation for reading success. By recognizing and playing with sounds, we strengthen our understanding of how letters and sounds connect. It's like unlocking the secret code of language!
When a child lacks phonological awareness skills, it becomes challenging for them to isolate and blend sounds, which are crucial for reading and spelling development.
For individuals with dyslexia, this task can be especially difficult, leading to significant struggles in decoding and encoding words. Neuralign helps dyslexic readers build phonological awareness.

From a Neuralign parent:
" runs in my family, so I was on the lookout for signs in both my kids from an early age. My youngest child had all the early signs, and when she was entering grade 1 was still struggling with to identify letters and with her letter-sound associations. Her teachers assured me that she was bright and would catch up in her own time, but having seen so many of my own bright dyslexic family members struggle for years I knew I needed to take action, so I pursued a diagnosis and looked for help.
After about the 10th session of Neuralign, something clicked. For the first time, she was remembering her letters and their associated sounds consistently. She was reading simple words at the store and sounding out words I pointed to in books we read together. I decided to do another round of Neuralign with her before she started grade 2 to see if it would give her another boost, and boy did it ever. Within 6 sessions, it was like the floodgates had opened. Everything started coming together, and within a short time, she became a fluent and enthusiastic reader. She entered that year on par with her peers and has continued to build her reading skills at or above grade level.
Thanks to Neuralign, my dyslexic daughter never fell behind in her reading, and her self-esteem remained intact. The program required a bit of an initial time commitment, but the results were so fast, and so profound that we've saved an immeasurable amount of time and money on interventions in the long run. I plan on doing tune-up with her every summer even though her grades are good and she's happy in school, because every time she does the program, there's an obvious and lasting boost in her skills. There's absolutely no doubt that this is a life-changing program, and I recommend it to everyone I know whose kids are struggling to learn to read."

Students who use Neuralign read an average of 50% more words per minute after 10 weeks.
Carleton University announced in a ground-breaking report that dyslexic students who use the Neuralign program improve their reading by an average of 50% more words in 10 weeks.
In their report, Centre for Applied Cognitive Research Director Dr. Jo-Anne LeFevre, PhD., Dr. Heather Douglas, PhD., and Charlene Song of the Department of Psychology at Carleton University analyzed several aspects of reading improvement for users of the program, reading fluency measure (i.e., number of words read per minute), and a comparison of assessed reading performance before and after the intervention.
"Users showed significant improvement in reading fluency and in assessed reading performance," the study concludes, with a "95 percent confidence" in their findings.
