🏆 WE HAVE NEW SCHONECK CUP CHAMPIONS! 🏆

Big congratulations to the Hot Shots team on winning our 3rd annual Schoneck Cup Powersoccer Tournament.
It was an exhilarating gold medal match that saw two evenly matched teams battle it out. The Black Stallions were undefeated going into the final but quickly found out that the Hot Shots were not here to goof around!

Golden Guard award went to Reeghan Funk, who scored 4 goals over the weekend! 💪🏼

We wish to thank all the players and their families for making the tournament a success again this year, and we can’t wait for next year’s tournament.

Shoutout to our volunteer coaches and referees for their commitment and passion as well, as none of this is possible without them ❤️⚽️

June 9 was Alberta Boccia Day!

Three communities (Calgary, Edmonton, and Medicine Hat) all held boccia events and then joined together virtually to take part in a province-wide skills competition!

There were 18 participants from across the province that took part in the day along with many wonderful volunteers & supporters!

The ACPSA boccia program will have three communities facing off against one another on June 9. Athletes in Calgary, Edmonton and Medicine Hat will be having their own activities/gameplay at their respective locations and join up with each other virtually at 1:00pm for a province-wide skill challenge. In Edmonton, we will be meeting up at Winnifred Stewart Association at 12:30pm on June 9, join and meet our fellow boccia players in the other provinces virtually, do the skills challenge at 1pm, followed by our own mini tournament! No matter your knowledge or skills in the game, this is a fun opportunity to learn and play! Invite your family, friends. They are all welcome to participate!



If you are in the Edmonton area and would like to give boccia a try another time, there will be a combined Pizza+Peers and Boccia try it event at the Glenrose on June 27, pizza is from 4-6pm in the atrium on unit 3B, and boccia will be in the main gym starting at 7pm, hope to see you there!
