We are so lucky to have The St. Margaret's Bay Stewardship Association doing amazing things for our area! Did you know that $2 from every bag of Strong Arm coffee from goes toward Micou's Island Stewardship Program to help care for and steward Micou's Island.
"A wonderful Stewardship Day this weekend on Micou's Island! Perfect weather, time spent pouring love into the island, and good people to share it with, building memories together.
Big thanks to all who came and dedicated their time to the island: Jess, Laurel, Elisabeth, Michael, Sadie, and Glen!
Along with our usual time spent caring for Micou's Island, we took the time to celebrate Labour Day Picnic Cafe for the first year of their fundraiser partnership with Roastery 46 where $2 from every purchase of Strong Arm coffee goes to the Micou's Island Stewardship Program. With these efforts, they have been able to raise $288 over the past year! These much-needed, and appreciated, funds will go towards the costs we incur in our care and stewardship of this amazing island.
Please help to support these amazing local businesses and Micou's Island by getting yourself down to Labour Day Picnic Cafe and picking up some Strong Arm coffee! As always, you can also make a tax-deductible donation directly to our efforts by following this link:

"Zakary Miller is from just up the road. He has searched all over Canada for the feeling of home and good music. He has collected and played music from across the spectrum of genres but has settled into a sound and instrumentation that echoes of the 1800s and early 1900s. Celebrating a century of serious artists who didn't take themselves too seriously."
You heard it here first!

Messick and Muir will be live at Labour Day Picnic in just 3 weeks from today!
Tickets available in-store or online
Doors open at 7pm show starts at 7:30
"Like Simon and Garfunkel, Messick and Muir take original Americana and turn it into a spiritually uplifting sonic experience. Deft guitar and original lyric bring together what is missing in the trad inflected world of contemporary maritime performers. Tyler Messick was born in Philadelphia and his contemporaries in age and sound are the War on Drugs and Kurt Vile. Virgil Cain Muir hails from Pictou county and brings the often brutally beautiful reality of rural Nova Scotia to a sonic space with his voice."
