We are looking for dedicated and talented people who love hospitality and coffee. We’re currently hiring for a part time barista position, someone with good availability (even after school starts) that can work 3-4 shifts a week, mostly Monday-Friday.

Applicants must have good availability. Previous restaurant or café experience is an asset. Reliability, teamwork, cheerfulness, a strong work ethic, and an eye for cleanliness and detail are qualities we are seeking in our next teammates.

We have some news to share related to RELAY: Staircase.
RELAY will be transferring our operations of the café space at the end of the month. The Staircase itself isn't closing by any means, with more events to come. However, our time as the ones operating the café there have come to an end.

We have loved beautifying and then working in that gorgeous space at the Staircase these past 14 months. We've enjoyed getting to know new people through our café and events there and have contributed in a positive way to the Hamilton Art community.

When the opportunity to build a café at the Staircase arose, we recognized that there would be some risk. We're disappointed that we didn't fully execute our exciting vision.
This is partly our responsibility, however, post pandemic there were too many obstacles that got in our way. Slow economic recovery, high inflation, change in consumer habits, team changes, & the CEBA loan deadline were among these obstacles. So, we must say good bye to our involvement at 27 Dundurn St. N.

Even though our Staircase café operations are coming to a close, we will continue to focus on crafting brilliant coffee at our roastery and providing exceptional coffee beverages & hospitality at our café on King William. We'll be serving coffee at the Staircase until September 30 and we hope you continue to stop by over our final couple weeks. (Wed - Sun: 9 - 4)

RELAY will STILL be involved at the Staircase as we cater their events with our delicious platters of the baked goods you've come to know and love, scrumptious charcuterie, and savoury apps. (Some of these events are already booked and in the works, with more to come! If you have an event booked with us do not fear! We've got you 💕)

We are excited for the future of The Staircase as a space for music, art, theatre, trivia nights, and comedy to thrive.
