( Parent participation with Vicky)
⭐️ 6 & up age group ( No parent participation required with Maestra Alba)

8 classes for 300$ Materials Included.
Saturdays from 10:30 to 11:30 am classes starting October 5 to November 30th ( excluding long weekends) Baptist Church

We are very lucky to have Profesora Alba to join us for the Fall Program in September this year! Meet Profesora Alba😃

Hola! My name is Alba. I moved to Canada twenty years ago from Peru and since then, Canada has become my second home. I am the mom of two daughters and a former teacher with more than 20 years of experience working with children of all ages. Teaching is my passion, and as part of my Canadian experience, I worked at a Spanish preschool considered as a Host Site Tour Visit for the implementa'on of "Play and Explora'on – Early Learning Guide” by the Saskatchewan Ministry of Education , and currently I am working as a Teacher in the Okanagan. I am a true believer that learning a new language opens a new world that sparks the imagination in every child. If you do not see me sharing my culture and language with people, I may be trying to cook new recipes or playing either volleyball or chess. I am excited to start the adventure of teaching Spanish to your children.

Last day of the Winter Program We learned about different types of "Comidas" cooked yummy Salsa de pina( pineapple), quesito, guacamole & tortilla chips, todo delicioso! We miss our other friends that couldnt make it to the last day of class. Hasta pronto y muchas gracias🥰

Vicky, what is the Spanish Program about?
It is about learning while having fun! Each class is full of vocabulary, small phrases, games, songs, poems, story time, conversation & Art!
Our purpose is that our students learn cultural awareness, socialize, problem-solving & enjoy fun travel experiences.

Hola! I am the owner & founder of Kids Spanish Club Kelowna! My students know me as Vicky.
As a native Spanish speaker, sharing the love for my language and culture has become my passion.
I was born and raised in Guatemala, and made Kelowna my home 14 years ago. I am a Mom of a teenager, and also a Preschool Teacher in The Okanagan with a background in Child Psychology and Learning Disabilities. With more than 20 years of experience working with children of all ages. I love teaching Spanish, and I try to bring my culture into the classroom as much as possible. In our class, my students love to listen to music in Spanish, and learn about cultural differences and traditions. And at the same time, have fun while learning a new language. I believe that a good education shapes not only minds, but hearts as well.
Learning a new language can be intimidating. But I strongly believe that my enthusiastic and cultural approach to teaching Spanish enables students to acquire language skills in a manner that keeps them interested and motivated.
I am really excited to see all my students and start the Winter program 2023! Gracias, hasta luego!

We just acquired the:
"Sonrisas Spanish Curriculum" It will be a great asset & will complement our classes, I am really looking forward to use it with our bilingual children!

Here is a bit about the program:
The "Sonrisas Spanish Curriculum" is a comprehensive Spanish Language curriculum for PreK through 6th Grade.
