Join TWU students, staff, and faculty on Friday, Sept. 29 for a Day of Learning ahead of Canada’s National Day for Truth and Reconciliation (Sept. 30).
Please wear an orange shirt, and you are encouraged to bring a new pair of children’s shoes that will be used in ceremony during Opening the Circle.
We encourage all FNAS students to attend, as we foster greater knowledge and understanding of Indigenous cultures and our shared history, and walk together in this reconciliation journey.

Following that, there’s a VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY at 1pm where we’ll be cleaning up the streets of Glover Road from TWU down to Fort Langley.

Phil De Luna is currently a Director at the National Research Council of Canada where he leads a 7-year $57M collaborative R&D program to develop disruptive technologies to decarbonize Canada. His research in CO2, conversion and accelerated materials discovery has been published in journals such as Science and Nature and were cited more than 9000 times over the past 5 years. De Luna is a Governor General Gold medal medalist, a Carbon XPRIZE Finalist, a member of the Royal Society of Canada, a Forbes Top 30 Under 30, and an Adjunct Professor at the University of Toronto.
