We are so excited to introduce our newest team member- Brett Kurio!

Brett is local to southern Alberta and obtained his Bachelor’s of Kinesiology here in Lethbridge before moving on to graduate from physiotherapy school at the University of Alberta in 2013. He has been working in private practice ever since so brings a wealth of knowledge and experience with him!

We can’t wait to add Brett’s skillset to round out our physiotherapy team. Along with using manual therapy, corrective exercise and dry needling techniques, Brett also has a special interest in vestibular therapy so we will be able to expand our treatment offerings to include this specialty.

This month marks FIVE YEARS since James joined Stephanie’s practice in 2019. Here’s what Steph has to say about James:

“It is crazy to think it’s been 5 years since James took over for me after we had only met each other on zoom a couple of times. I was having my first child and wanting to keep my growing business afloat so took a chance on the “good vibes” I got from James, but deep down had no idea how it was going to go. James took a chance moving from inner city Vancouver to southern Alberta to work at a new practice that had no admin support, minimal marketing power, but a growing caseload. James took that caseload and ran and has been running ever since. Each year he only gets busier and he’s made a great name for himself in the Lethbridge community. James is an all around great guy and I’m so grateful he took a chance and stuck it out through the early years to help build and grow from our little back room physio dungeon to the clinic we work out of today.”

If you haven’t met James, you might find him out running or biking, or come on in and see him in the clinic! There’s a bit of a wait for a new assessment, but trust us, it’ll be worth the wait!

As our friends at .physio like to say, “Movement is MEDICINE”. We love the puzzle of finding those imbalances in our bodies and seeing the lightbulb moment when you feel it too. There’s always a movement to match it, you’ll be surprised what your body can do and the changes that can be made.

Look who’s back!! If you’ve been in the clinic in the evenings over the past few months you may have seen this familiar face! We are so happy to have Jenna back on the team, and even more excited to share that she has returned in a new role as Kinesiologist! Jenna is starting to take on her own clients this month - stay tuned for more details on her offerings!

Merry Christmas from the Waso crew!! Missing a couple but so happy we could get together to celebrate, and less than 10% of us even solved a murder mystery. Guess we will stick to our day jobs! Happy holidays to our extended Waso Family, hope you can enjoy some laughs and togetherness with the people you care about.

**Patient Spotlight**

Meet Anna! Anna just finished the 100km Kidney March- walking 100km over 3 days to raise awareness for kidney disease. It was so fun to watch Anna progress through her training and help keep her body moving to prepare her for the big day! Steph and Anna have been working on and off together for many years for various injuries so this was a special moment to be a part of! So proud of you Anna for accomplishing your goal and finishing the walk!!
