Hello my friends! Please help this cause! Snezhana is a wonderful human and I’m so proud to call her my friend!
My name is Snezhana, I am volunteering to help with this fundraising at Moving Forward Family Services because I see how opportunity to receive the mental health support changes the lives those who might otherwise be left without the help they need.
You can support celebrating local seniors by joining the Grand Parade, where we gather with family, friends, coworkers, and neighbours and have a free meal after the walk.
It takes just a minute to give a little gift, ensuring that our older friends and family in need can get low-cost compassionate care and counseling, provided by Moving Forward Family Services in 30+ languages.

The kids and I will be volunteering at this event on the 29, from 1-5:30pm!

There are a few ways to understand “needs”...some see them as hierarchical (some more important than others - as in the pictures) and some (e.g. Reality Therapy) see basic needs (survival, love and belonging, freedom, power, and fun) as being on a continuum, with some becoming more or less important throughout our lives. Are you meeting your needs?
Self-care often goes hand in hand with shifting the mindset from ”I’m stuck/I can’t do anything” to “What can I control? What can I do right now/today/this week?” Perhaps you can’t improve one particular situation you find yourself in, but you can still invest in your overall well-being.
Does knowing more words indicating emotions help us better understand our emotions? You betcha! Get to know more so you can better “label” what you feel! This is an important part of emotional regulation.
Meet Missy!
Missy is pulling double duty as a therapy assistant and house pup. As a pet, Missy is a troublemaker who gets the zoomiez twice a night and pulls her aunties’ tails. As a therapy assistant however, Missy is the ultimate oxytocin booster. She’s a kisser and puts a smile on everyone’s face. She gets paid in treats and she always asks for more … but I tell her she’s getting paid less because she’s a girl and will have to wait for our politics to change 😆.
