Meet Karine Ogier, President of Vignerons du Castelas, a cooperative winery dating back to 1952! As the world of wine is predominantly male, the Côtes du Rhône is distinguished by the growing presence of female wine professionals, who are always pushing the boundaries of excellence.

Discover the PDO Côtes du Rhône Villages Chusclan and its three grape varieties: Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre. From this trio, the winemakers produce colorful reds with notes of red fruit, black fruit and spice that are round, supple and generous. These wines are to be enjoyed young or after two to three years of cellaring, depending on the cuvée.

Today, we introduce you to the face behind the wines of Domaine Philippe Plantevin. This independent winemaker cultivates 36 hectares of organically grown vines, spread over four communes. You'll find an impressive range of wines produced under various appellations, including Côtes du Rhône, Côte du Rhône Villages Plan de Dieu, Côtes du Rhône Villages Sainte-Cécile and Côtes du Rhône Villages Visan.

Vine pruning is a crucial step in maintaining the vitality and longevity of the plant. It is usually carried out in winter, during the dormancy period, and will have a major influence on the quality of the grapes to come. There are a number of different pruning methods, the three most widely used being: Gobelet, Cordon de Royat and Guyot. Depending on the grape variety, terroir, sun exposure and other factors, winemakers choose the pruning method best suited to their vines.✂ 🌿
