Apprentices are near and dear to our heart and Munroe is no exception. He is curious, eager and always willing to try something new.
He definitely works hard and is great at lightening the work load, but he also has a fun side. Ask him about or Jerome Iginla or even to tell you his tips on the Qualicum Mountain bike trails. You are sure to love him as much as we do.

NSAR has been blown away by community support following a break-in at our operations base last week. NSAR’s fundraising director, Jessica (L) and our fleet director, Grant, (L) met up with Matt and Brandon from on Friday to accept a donation of $626 which will go towards replacing the chain saw which was stolen. Fun fact: Matt is also a member of Arrowsmith Search And Rescue and was moved to help when he heard our story.

NSAR not only responds to calls for individuals who are lost, but also to medical emergencies in our backcountry and recreational areas. Tools like the ones stolen allow us to respond in a timely manner without having to worry about not being able to clear a downed tree or other obstacle. Sometimes seconds save lives!
